My mom (uh...mum) used to talk about her a lot. I think she read her biography/autobiography or whatever. I'll check it out, Tommy.
Met up with the group of British ex-pats this past few weeks. I've learned I'm a fan of comedian Eddie Izzard (who my skeptical friend Paul thought I wouldn't like cause I'm American, and whom another Brit proceeded to tell me I would like him because he has 'international appeal' - people's prejudices are so stupid, really), and saw a funny dark humour type show called League Of Gentlemen, too. Also learned that large slices of bread are called "doorstops". Or is that just the ends of the loaf? Met an older lady from Chester, which she told me is right near the border of Wales.
Whoops I must be off topic now, and we know how much Martino hates me when I do that! The straight and narrow path is boring as shite to me, but I guess it's a comfort to him. Musn't have anything too unhinged, strange, different, or out of the ordinary. I guess him and I will always be different that way.

her crowning achievement is said to be the un's universal declaration of human rights:
"Whereas recognition of the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world, etc"
and i really love that she disagreed with her husband's political decisions. fabulous. especially concerning the internment of japanese americans during ww2.

i seem to have the same problem, which is, i'm pretty sure, how i ended up at this website in the first place.

hey mark from your other post about peace, you said that you'd not seen a lot of pictures of peace symbols?
well this is interesting because tommy's post made me think about a website that we use at school . . . myhero.com, which is where i first read the un's universal declaration of human rights; it'd been a while since i'd been to the site, and i thought tommy might like to share it with his kids.
