Dick Cheney Shot Somebody!

Anybody else wonder what his "hunting buddy" did to piss him off? Where do we go to get the real story? I figure Dick took him out there to close some kind of business deal, which the guy resisted. So he got shot in the face. Whatdo you think?

You know Mav, I think you're on to something here. I read about this, but innocently presumed innocence. You may have a real point and I'm sorry I didn't think of it sooner.

I say turn up the cheesy rock and roll! We're all going to hell anyway. I saw this rocker looking girl at the store some days ago and she had this thing on the back of her jacket that said "Jesus Hates Me". I thought that was probably THE funniest thing I've ever seen, made my day.

Other bumper stickers seen on a car:

"No Child Left Without a Deficit"

"11.04.08"

I hate to sound like a prude... but I don't see anything funny about someone shooting a 78 year old man in the face. The guy has family and friends just like the rest of us and if he lives he will probably be disfigured for the rest of his life... if he survives.

Some things are just not funny.

Esecially not the fact that Dick is a known lush (3 DUIs or something). He was no doubt drinking heavily at the time. I am expecting him to do some jail time for this. That ought to straighten that jive turkey ass honky the hell out.

I actually wasn't trying to make a joke.. I really do think there is more to the story than a simple accidental shooting. You're right sloth, it's not funny at all. It might be as simple as him being drunk, or as sinister as a business deal gone wrong, but either way, we know one thing...Cheney won't be doing any jail time.

Maybe not, but he'll certainly have his own throne room in Hell.

This is the guy who voted against making MLK Day a national holiday.

Hmmm? Sound like I've heard this all before.

There has to be a metaphor here somewhere.

Just shooting away, not taking the time to care who gets in the way. Breaking the law. Having the government cover it up. Until it comes out. Then having the government at press time decline to talk about it. Why? "For the good of the people."

Sound like anything else?

"I don't like you Cheney, I don't like you because you're dangerous."
Iceman to Cheney in the locker room

Just thought I'd add another appropriate Top Gun quote.

We're all going to hell, man, might as well drink on the way there.

I just wish you guys could have heard the liberal guy I heard talking on the radio this morning. Then you would understand the frame of mind I'm in.

The U.N. firmly rebuked Guantanemo he said...and Condoleeza Rice (what the fuck kind of name is Condoleeza anyway) admitted that the administration had not done all they could to help Iraq's economy over the years...just all this stuff. Normally on the weekends when my alarm goes off in the morning and I hear the political talk show on the radio, I listen only long enough to wake up, shudder and turn it off and go back to sleep, but this morning I was already awake, so I listened to the whole thing this guy was saying. Usually it's someone giving a speech which makes it even more disturbing to listen to but this time it was just a guy being interviewed. He just said it's completely crazy that you know, here's this war in Iraq where a hundred thousand civilians have died and Cheney is feeling bad about shooting his friend.

He said the plan is really to launch a military strike against Iran even though the administration has not managed to produce any evidence that Iran is actually making nukes. It's completely insane. Completely.

He also said that the story about how Cheney shot the guy doesn't add up, that the guy was low to the ground and if Cheney was aiming at a bird, then he would have been aiming upwards. He said that the press is really angry that they didn't get word of it for 20 hours. I like the idea that the press is angry with this administration.

Time to open a bottle of wine, the beer is gone.
