Post by Tommy Martyn »

Talked to my Uncle today, (He is Jewish) he was able to confirm that the Oakland chapter of the world zionist conspiracy had been working on the Danish cartoons for some time.

It's an embarrassing time to be human. Glad I'm a sloth.

haha. Yeah, I'm thinking of becoming a gorilla. Only question is, am I better off in a zoo or out in the wild where my habitat is likely shrinking?

"1 PESHAWAR, Pakistan - A Pakistani cleric announced a $1 million bounty for killing a cartoonist who drew the Prophet Muhammad. In Libya, a demonstration against the caricatures left the Italian consulate on fire and at least nine people dead, according to an Italian diplomat."

"It's an embarrassing time to be human" --sloth

i think that should be the quote of the decade. sloths are cuter than curious george and their habitat is definitely being depleted, mark, so although it's an embarrassing time to be a human, it's a dangerous time to be a sloth.

as much as i get disgusted with this glut fest of a country we have, it could be worse. i think that a lot. it could be a lot worse.

i told one of my students today about my trip to honduras and i told him, these kids there, some of them are nine or ten years old, and they've never seen doctors, ever. it'll be the first vitamins they'll ever get. he said, "no matter how bad things get for you, you'll have to think about that, and you'll have to be grateful."

and i said, "you're right."

which is why i really love kids because they are absolutely not scared to say things like that to you and they're right a lot of the time.

then i explained to him that my mom had told me to take a lot of high carb bars and a water bottle because i'd end up giving away my lunches. she said, you just won't be able to help yourself, the kids will need the food, and you will give it to them, you'll have to. and he said, "that's something."

and i said, "yes, it's something, not everything, not much of anything, really, just a sandwich, but it is something."

things here in the states could also be a lot better, which is what i hope for.
