Sounds like our Paul. He is a great guy. I love his wife and his daughter. You can tell him about me or not. I don't want you to freak him out.
He used to live across the road from me when I lived in the U district. Mrs Tommy and Mrs Paul and our kids all got on great. I have a very fond memory of his missus visiting the hospital the day after Henry was born.
I'm happy to tell you anything about him. i don't like the idea that I'm talking behind his back - if you know what I mean.

If you want to tell him about me, can you remember my real name?
Sloth, can you do something so that I can sign in from this computer with my real name. I'm fed up with Tommy Martyn. It's no biggie, Just about everyone I want to know me as "me" knows me. (Except perhaps that queer arse Tom.) I've spoken to Pixie on the phone, but she is always drunk, drugged or in the throes of orgasm she might have forgotten my name.

I think the scariest aspect of this entire mess is that these guys were converted on British soil. Our Governments have isolated and dealt with these problems in such a threatening manner and now the minorities and down trodden are looking for alternatives. There are many people that disagree with what has happened and yet dont know where to put their anger.
Here in Australia, most of us shrugged thinking: 'It was going to happen' and 'How long until we are done?' before rushing off to call loved ones which is starting to become routine.

Yeah and remember to believe Bliar when he said on national TV that this has nothing to do with the invasion of Iraq.
You see what happens when people spout that nonsense:
1. It makes people like me lose all respect for Blair
2. It strengthens the hard right groups like the Republicans and the BNP who see Islam as a threat to the west and play on most people's general ignorance and confusion about world affairs.
3. It unites and radicalizes the remaining muslims on British soil who are now all looked at as possible terrorists.

Well, Tommy, I hate to break both our hearts but I'm just not so sure we're really talking about the same guy. He's never mentioned having a daughter and I certainly didn't see one when I was over there. It all seems a little odd in a coincidental sense, but maybe we just had a near miss here. Ha, makes me wish I DID know your Paul so I could say hi to him for you! I'll try to probe him a bit more, though, just to be sure. Hell maybe he knows the other Paul!
Everyone here knows I think the whole Iraq war is bullshit and we should get out ASAP but I actually think it's a wrong assumption to simply attribute the London attacks to the Iraq war. Certainly the Iraq war is a part of it, but to think it's the whole thing is like throwing a bone to the terrorists. People so easily forget this is at core a religious issue. That women walk around uncovered here is just as offensive to them as the Iraq war or whatever else. Whatever made them attack us 9/11 would still be there even if everyone pulled out of Iraq. Sean Nelson, a writer with The Stranger, did an excellent piece on this point of view some weeks back, and I was really glad he came out and said so well what needed to be said. Here's a link:
