Random thoughts...I'm feeling 'The Bravery'...especially some unknown mix of their 'honest mistake' song that I have.

I'm also feeling some Laurie Anderson 'song'....OH-Matt! That song that we both love..I found the name..it's by the Moldy Peaches and called 'Jorge Regula'

Up till two weeks ago I didn't know who "the bravery" were. Then I found out that a cousin of Mrs Tommy is getting quite hot and heavy with the bass player. (She only has three cousins in total, so she keeps tabs on them. Katie is the only one left that isn't married, so the family is always interested in the possibility of a party.) I toyed with the idea of going up to Columbus to see them a couple of weeks ago, but was put off by the eyeliner. I'm too old to watch fellas poncing around in that stuff. As to the music, it reminded me of that band that reminds everyone else of Joy Division. Interpol, if I'm not mistaken.

Good to see you're back Tom. It has been quiet. If it weren't for the drama in Pixie's life, it'd seem like a bunch of old boring socks. What was Tommy's phrase from a while back "dull as dishwater" or something. Bring that vengeance, tom, infect some liveliness.

And About the bravery, I think I like them alot, although I've only heard that one song. GuessI'll have to get the album to see for sure. I'm not quite the music afficionado that most on here are, but I know what I like, and that's more than just the police and u2.

I have to find out who did the mix of the bravery song that I like...it's a bit more electronic than the original.

Speaking of U2...do you like their (new) album?

I like the new U2 more than like their last 3 albums or something. there are more songs than usual on it that I really like, and when I first heard Vertigo, I thought it was there best song in like 10 years. I still like the more raw stuff like October best, but How to Dismantle and Atomic Bomb is damn good, in my opinion. Even if Bono has become a sanctimonious git.

I'll fight this corner for Bono. His music at times is fantastic, others times crap. With regards to his efforts to wake the developed world up to the plight of the undeveloped and the relatively small efforts we need to make to produce massive benefits, I can't praise him enough. He is on record as saying that it is pathetic that a rock star should be doing this work. He knows that he looks and sounds like a dick sometimes. He knows he is being used by slimy politicians. He is sticking with it though. God bless him.
