I was walking home and saw a bumper sticker. It was of a U.S. flag with a white background. As I got closer (I was going that way, towards my house) I noticed there were words beneath the flag. It said "Bless God, America!"
It didn't sink in at first, but after about a second or two, I laughed out loud.
I've seen some good anti-Bush stickers but that really takes the cake.
Marky's Bumper Sticker Sighting
It was the Nietzsche of bumper stickers.
Not only does it turn the religious right on it's head and point out the arrogance of the Bush administration and the Senators who rubber stamp him, but it also is a dare of sorts: if we're really as powerful and omnipotent as Bush thinks we are, we damn well ought to at least be able to SAVE OURSELVES by yes, blessing God.
And on a third level, it's kindof like saying a very sarcastic "good luck America!" Like you know, fat chance you won't pay for your actions - the actions of your GOVERNMENT.
