underground- and I say we keep Pax Acidus

Post by Guest »

can I just say that the sloth and I have done it underground. We ain't punk because we love too much and we ain't DIY because we get paid for our music to this day and we keep it all hush hush and we have day jobs we don't even like but we have freedom and we travel all the time and I just want to say Sloth no matter how much you are hurting at the moment I love you and don't wipe out Pax Acidus (as he was claiming he was going to do folks last night) because we are underground. Just go to the front page. It's in the declaimer. But I know what he means. And we mean it. Despite all the fame I want as a writer, I just want to make love and be made loved to. Dancing fast and slow. Sloth I love you.

Pax was almost all gone yesterday and it was me who said keep it. Wev want to keep it up right people??????

Sloth most users ever today? see what I mean?

Don't we all want that?

Look, I watched the movie today it was really beautiful.

You know one of my favorite PJ songs is indifference because the lines go, how much, how much difference does it make.

This place has made a lot of difference to the two of you, so that's good. And it's made a big difference to me. When the hubby was gone and the twin towers got the shit knocked out of them, MC helped me get through that. You know your book, working on it, gave me a chance to get out of my head, to get into someone else's and see life through your eyes. Even though I'd seen the same exact places myself reading it was like being there all over again. You know I met a gigolo (don't know how to spell it) outside of the George V -- and he had terrible shoes but a nice suit -- anyway, he wanted to give us a tour of Paris, and we were like no thanks, we want to see it on our own. Maybe I should have gone with him, but I didn't.

Anyway I saw this exhibit (and I swear to god I don't remember the name of the place it's over there near the fashion museum) anyway, that's where I saw my first Mattisse -- big blue -- it was the most beautiful and soothing picture I'd ever seen. I needed it too because I'd been to the Pompidou and they had this hideous modern stuff -- dead bodies, bloody underwear, the raw meat dress for the anorexic, (hideous) the blue nude did it for me then -- it really did, and I will always love Matisse for that. I've not seen his museum in Nice although I've been there -- I got the flowers in the market, and a sloppy kiss from a stranger, one of the most wonderful experiences of my life -- anyway, I'm going back to Nice, one day, someday, I'm going to see that museum.

Now you boys take care, and be nice, and be here when I get back.

What's all this? Keep the PAX. I don't want to hear any more about getting rid of it. You have a responsibility, you know. I mean, where else would anglophilic maladjusted drug-addled drunken poet philosophers go to interact if there was no PaxAcidus?

Keep it, and keep your shit together. Except for when you lose it on purpose, then go wild, just don't forget where you left it, your shit, I mean, because the time may come when you need your shit.

I think it's acomplement to say that something I might say would sound like Sting(see NYC scribbles if you're confused)
well suffice it to say that my philosophy regarding my friends, and especially those of the PaxAcidus variety can tend towards the poetic in a Sting-ish way.

AS many of us here have found, the indomitable founders of PA have an inexplicable presence that draws people to them and makes them instantly feel like friends...and no, MCC it isn't always your blue eyes.

For those of you who have not yet met Mccutcheon (and the sloth too) I advise you to do so, because they will most likely embrace you, give you a sloppy kiss, order you a beer, and get you involved in some good conversation and a lasting friendship.

McCutcheon and I have been there for each other to enjoy some great times, and to help each other through some shit ones, and i love him for that. My guess is that we will continue to do so in the future, so as Sting might say:

After the thunder's spoken, and
After the lightning bolt's been hurled
After the dream is broken, there'll
Still be love in the world

Paxacidus, spreadin' the love

I don't remember the conversation. I feel like I lost an integral part of my brain this weekend. Like I will never be the same.

But maybe that's good! Everyone knows you can lose brain cells when you drink. Maybe you can lose only the bad ones.

Well I'm drunk again with Linda and her sexy sister and Linda is getting nervous about moving to Sweden and her sister is teasing her like only an older sister can do to her younger sister and I want another drink.

Long live Pax Acidus!

Well thank fuck for a non-existent NietzscheChrist for this gathering and outcome. My brain has decided it can't handle anything more complicated than playing Blondie, that's how drunk I am. I mean I love Blondie dearly but they're not exactly on my pile of new things I need to listen to right now. Still, you can bet I enjoy the hell out of it. The Blondie T-Rex cover of "Bang A Gong" is on right now! You've never heard a sexier woman singer than Debbie. It just doesn't happen that way. They make me feel so damn guilty for never getting into Abba. Maybe someday I will, after all. I always hoped I would get into Abba someday.

Anyway here is the quote I wanted to quote from this thread. Take it away Maverick:
I mean, where else would anglophilic maladjusted drug-addled drunken poet philosophers go to interact if there was no PaxAcidus?
Just for that, I'll have to get McC to put on a Sting song. Come on, it isn't going to kill you, McC. It's only one song. We can do this. We'll figure out one together, come on.

Sorry - here I am imagining that I am next to the turntables as McC is DJing at this gathering and you guys are all talkin' and drinkin' and such. We used to do this, remember McC? We used to be in that situation togther. Wild isn't it? Turntables and vinyl and all that craziness. Where did it all go? To New York, but that's okay. We'll meet again. We shall meet again.
