Well it seems that while McCutcheon is now on the wagon for a while, I have to be the one drunk all the time, which won't be hard to do, as I have been drinking daily since 1997 when I stopped taking ecstasy, GHB, and cocaine every day.
I have had a few Manhattens today and I am in STATE COLLEGE, PA, near the place where I grew up. Terrible place to be a talented writer, I must say. This place is known as the Happy Valley, and has the lowest suicide rate in the country but that's only because the people are mindless hicks who think Bush was the lesser of 2 evils. They almost had me convinced before I screamed, grabbed Linda, and ran off to the only cool pub in town that has Stella Artois and Jagermeister on tap They still play evil techno here like they did 5 years ago, but hey the bball is on the telly and its not so fucking bad. In fact I think I;m going to spend the rest of the fucking vacation there since Linda told me she doesn;t like most of my writing which made me feel rather bad and not like living. I am worried about my business and poor sales and equally concerned with getting out of the USA forever and dedicating my life to writing more stories for 10 year old drug addicts and starting to smoke reefer again (I quit smoking reefer for 6 months... which is a major fucking miracle as I normally smoked it for breakfast for over 12 years). My writing has improved but remains equally unpublished and I have to dream I am successful.
Okay I am going back to the pub. It was a surreal time in NYC. I am glad Mc is going to be sober for a while. The Jack Kerouac quote about being mad and burning like roman candle applies to McCutcheon. Its not something escapable. Its like death and taxes. Brilliance happens. Brilliance drinks.
I wish I could tell the whole story from the NYC city trip but you will be glad to hear I have PICTURES which are worth thousands of words or so I;m told.
