MC, about that letter that your wrote for your Amanda, did you ever tell her that you wanted to marry her -- I mean did she know that you felt that way?

wow. i chatted with mccutcheon, martino, sloth, and tom all in the same evening.

martino was a gracious new chat with nary an accent. very pleasant.

sloth and his lovely wife were heading out to dinner after walking around nyc.

tom was working this evening and is moving tomorrow. congrats on getting your new place, mr. stewart.

mccutcheon reminded me of the time he called me while lying in central park with a bottle of wine looking at the sky. he says he's had at least one good moment like that with all of his friends and needs no more as he will die happy. he said he can feel death around the corner. that was rather disturbing.

worried about mc too

Post by martino »

myke woke me at 1 am with his soft and melodic carolinian voice. but there was a lot of worry in his tone too and he asked me to call mc, which i did, both numbers.

nobody home at matt's but everybody is unsettled and i spent a night full of nightmares. please matt tell us you are ok. everybody here loves you, but if you kill your body or brain or soul that love will have no place to go and this world will have less love than before. you haven't yet done enough with your considerable talents to give up.

McCutcheon has been lying in bed drinking for the past two days while Linda and I have been out walking around and seeing stuff. In the evenings we come home and Mc is a paranoid mess drinking and slurring his words and talking about "little green men under the bed".

Today I think he's a little better and we are going to take him to the hospital (I mean the Statue of Liberty).

The Guggenheim was my favorite thing so far. What a great job Wright did with that one. And the art inside is pretty good too. All building should be like that. I am not sure what the fascination with little bathrooms scattered all over the place is. I mean the building kind of has an Alpha Centauri Space Port feeling to it.

Okay gotta go. Overall I feel prety good. My liver hurts and I am bruised from the arm punches I got from McCutcheon after I pulled down his pants and took a picture of his penis but other than that I think New York has been great for me. Great dreams. I have been having fantastic dreams. Can't wait to leave Seatltle again. I guess I am an East Coast boy after all.

MC,
Amanda is not dead, I hope. If you wanted to marry her and you miss her, is it possible that the two of you could work things out -- yes, it is possible. There are some things that are completely impossible, situations that are called catch 22's I think; but you and she are not.

What me worry?

Post by Tom »

Well-it truly was a great thing to have finally met Sloth. It felt a bit surreal to see both he and Matt together.....pax acidus completed.

Sloth has a beautiful and great wife Linda...and we all had drinks in an east village bar. Matt was outside waiting for me screaming my name and making me feel like I was a celebrity being awaited for on the red carpet. The evening was sloppy and messy and loud and obnoxious and at times embarassing and fantastic and fun as hell...EVERYTHING one hopes for about a drunken night filled with good friends.....

After much alcohol consumption I passed out at Matt's for a few hours and had to leave early the next morning to move my car and get home (lots of packing and work to do....I am finally in my new place and slowly trying to get settled in and unpacked).

So the party kept going after I left I can guess......But what else would we expect when Pax Acidus is whole and together in NYC. My life is such that I do not and can not indulge in things other than a few pints of beer here and there.

But I am I and only Matt is Matt....and regardless-he is my friend. I love him to death.... with obvious concern, but without judgement.

I expect stories and writing galore after this weekend. God knows he must have a few.

Thank you Sloth and Linda for a great evening.....so so great to have finally met you both. Love you both lots and hope we meet once again.

Tom, it was great to meet you. I am sorry I was a bit hungover that day and couldn't hang out more. I think I passed out as soon as we got home and was a little concerned that the whole time we hung out I blathered about nothing and ran around like a lunatic. You are a beautiful man and it would have been nicer to spend more time together... oh well next time lets spend at least a few hours sober together and drink tea and chat llike normal people. On second thought let's not. I loved the Goldshlager. I wish I could go out and drink more with McCutcheon but he's dying I think. At least there's linda to go out drinking with me. It's going to be Pete's Tavern, O'Henry's old hangout and then drinks at the White Horse Tavern where Dylan Thomas drank himslf to death.

Embar ass

Yes-I am glad that I decided to go with Goldschlager rounds for all. Instant warm and fuzzy.

Which was also the reason for my comment about "at times embarassing"' because I remember being at that last bar and having people stare at me as I swayed back and forth..

I say we convene the pax acidus convention soon. It will give us a reason to hang out again and consume more gold flakes of fun...which will eventually lead to an orgy of naked bodies ala 'eyes wide shut'.

Filthy.
