Suicide attackers detonated simultaneous car bombs against police buildings during rush hour Wednesday, killing 68 people, including children, in the bloodiest attacks to hit this southern, mainly Shiite city since the U.S.-led occupation began a year ago. Iraqis pulled charred and torn bodies from mangled vehicles in front of the Saudia police station, located by Basra's crowded main street market — one of three stations and a police academy hit by a total of five car bombs, according to Basra's governor.

John Lennon is on the cover of MOJO and a note from editor and chief Phil Alexander reads- 'In March and May 1969 John and Yoko protested against global conflict by staying in bed. Thirty-five years on and there are still days when you feel like pulling the covers over your head in response to the current state of world affairs.'

It's funny Donald Rummey doesn't know what MOJO is.

Anyway I stayed in bed for the past week in protest (and Myke thinks I never take a stand) of the war in Iraq- oops we ain't at war, well whatever this thing is that is happening over there, I stayed in bed against it, for a week, and noththing happened....the troops didn't come home as i hoped, I didn't get a call from Bush apologizing for the loss of life. It didn't have much effect.

Plus I was on the verge of losing my job. I was willing to sacrafice money and a home for world peace, but finally my girlfriend said to me, "Get out of bed you bum, and take a shower, you smell."

So my personal Bed-In didn't work. I thought about it for a while and realized it probably works better if the person lying in bed is famous, and good looking and you get the media involved. So I nominate Brad and Jen for a Bed-In. I mean why not, I've always wanted to get Mrs. Pitt into bed, and this is for a good cause.

John sang, 'All I want is the truth'. Don't we all.
