Pax Acidus - Rather than facing the trauma of turning a year older, Pax Acidus Prime Minister McCutcheon has marked his birthday by declaring himself several years younger. The premier told an audience attending a school building opening that according to official documents he should have turned 16 on Monday, the Onion reported.

Thanks All.

16? You're 14 going on 16, you silly teenager you. No need to fool us, we love you regardless.

Look, if I'm going to send you a CD I have to know your address. I asked Sloth and he said he didn't know it. Are you going to post it here or should I email you? Does your email work? Good god, man, I would love for us to do CD exchanges. Let's get on the ball. I'm currently listening to a CD I haven't heard in 8 years (Swans "Soundtracks For The Blind" amazing), that's how bad it's gotten. I need your help. Since it's your birthday I'll send you the first one or you can send me the first one whatever makes you happiest man! It's your birthday!

Hey listen I ordered both Broken Social Scene CD's, the band from Toronto. I think I might really flip over them, honestly, and if it weren't for you I probably wouldn't have bothered trying to hear more of them.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY McC!!!

my address is:

matthew Pape
309 E. 18th 3c
Ny, Ny,
10003

And I did a birthday cd yesterday and it's cheeky and quite good. I mixed Franz Ferdinand Take me out Morgan Geist mix with Strokes and Regina Spektor Modern Girls and Old Fashion Men. I put Kinks Johnny Thunder followed Johnny Thunders live version of Can't put your arm around a memory and i mixed a early Joy Division demo incubation part 2 with an Air demo Fanny, Primal Screams I'm losing more than I'll ever have with Chamber Brothers All Strug out over you, Luna doing Indian summer followed by a band called Cinnamon doing an excellent version of Spacemen 3's Feel So Good (think same dark drone but with lyrics like --I'm so high and I won't die today-- sung by Japanese girls) and i got Serge Gainsbourg doing New York USA na Dizzee Rascal, Space, B&S, Dub Narcotic, and the first lou Reed single mixed different than any version on an album. put together it is a great listen, if I do say so myself. oh yeah, and i even turned the smiths The Draize Train into an Ozzy Osbourn low fi dance track. plus other surprises.

email me your address and I'll send you a copy.

hey hey hey. wow i leave you self involved saps for a little while and matty moves across country. that's ok. i'm in nyc for about one quarter of the year anyway. perhaps i'll drop in and say hello. one thing, though, matty what have you done with yourself??? I took a look at your newly uploaded pictures in the gallery, and I gotta say, you look like hell. 16 my ass. 46 maybe. seriously though you don't look a day under 40. and whatever happened to the snazy dresser I once admired?? you look like you grabbed your clothes out of a dumpster in central park. what a shame. such potential lost to booze drugs and a big beer gut almost as fat as larry's.
shining star to burnt out loser. what a shame

It's hard to be a thin alcoholic past 30... and we all know fat people who try to dress cool end up looking like homeless people.

Simon, even though I hate you, I have to say you're right in this case.

Just as I suspected, your email doesn't work McC. I wasn't happy to receive one of those messages saying "tried for 4 hours blah-de-blah do not resend your message, will keep trying". What is up with the paxacidus email system anyway?

So I guess this means I will have to be the first to send you a CD. This seemed truly daunting at first, but I'm making progress. I've already finished the hardest part, anyway. You see, I'm going to send 3 CD's...one Chic-related, one John Cooper Clarke-related, and the other a variety of other things. I've already finished the variety one, and that's the most difficult, so I'm happy that's overwith.

Things in my life will greatly improve when the new Beta Band comes out. I've heard two songs and I'm convinced it's gonna be a doozy. One more month.

Ha Ha! Only just now read the other thread where Simon tries to roast me...it has you saying you've got *4* CD's for me. Oh good, now I don't feel so extravagant with my planned 3! :) Frankly, I just found it impossible to do a straight ahead one CD deal of a variety of stuff that only included a tiny bit of Chic and a tiny bit of John Cooper Clarke...no. I just couldn't do that. I would have literally had to change my DNA or something.

I truly can't believe I've only had a half bottle of Shiraz. You would have thought I'd had 6 beers. Good god, what do they put in this stuff?

Paxacidans, please never ever ever buy a kind of wine from California called "Ironstone". Because your brain is going to feel like iron AND stone only 5 hours after drinking only half the damn bottle and even though it feels like a most horrible hangover, it can't technically even be called that, because for god's sake you haven't even slept yet!

Some alcoholic beverages just have a lot of impurities in them, and last night was an uncommonly bad experience. Now you know: avoid Ironstone, like the plague.

Seeing as this is the burthday page I will let you know that as of one minute past on the 17th April (GMT seeing as I was born there) Mr Thomas Martyn of this parish will be 40 years old. Forty summers will teach you many things. Kids feel free to ask.

The house thing plods on. I worked like a bastard to make it look pretty. Gangs of people have been looking at the place and we are hoping for lots of faces this weekend. Fingers crossed that one of hem brings a chequebook. Hence no mention of a party.

For those of you in Seattle I'm having a quiet meal at home with the queen tomorrow, before heading out to a succession of gay bars. (CC's,the Cuff and the Madison pub.) If you haven't done the scene then maybe you should. CC's has the strongest drinks in all of Seattle and they are cheap. Gay bars have much to recommend them if you are straight ,married and not looking for missus right and also have tons of gay mates. Then, as on past occasions, it will be home to curl up drunk with the dog on his bed. I already have so much, it would be wrong to ask for more.
