the good news
Squads of Republican congressmen agree, as they troop through Baghdad on fast-paced tours to see what's going right in Iraq — electricity returning, schools repainted, water pumps repaired. One, Rep. George Nethercutt, went home to Washington state and complained the U.S. press was missing the real story.
"The story of what we've done in the postwar period is remarkable," he said. "It is a better and more important story than losing a couple of soldiers every day."

I tried posting one day and it didn't work, so i'm testing this out:
I wonder what the next generation of politicians will be like. I guess that is my generation, and do I like my generation? That is another question to ponder. Most of them are jerk-offs, however the old fart jerk-offs that are in office as I speak need to die sooner or later, and then i'll run for mayor, then congress, then senate, then fucking right on, president.
I had an interesting weekend. First one of my good friends for the last couple of years freaked out at a party and started attacking people. When I asked him why he was doing this he said it is because he's gay, which was news to me. I say, that's wonderful S......, but it gives you no right to act like a fucking insane, psychotic asshole to everybody. He's justifying his actions because he's gay? If all gay people felt that way and acted that way, I'd hate them all. But that is another story, there is more to it than what I just said, I left out the beer throwing, coke snorting and punches flying part.

I could never hit anybody at a party... especially while I was on drugs. Fucking and kissing, yes. Punching no. What's wrong with people!
And to use the excuse that he is gay? At least say... "I was upset because I figured out I was gay."
Besides no one is gay... I mean really gay. Psychology and elementary sleepover slumber parties proved a long time we are all bisexual.
Sometimes I wonder if people who talk faggy do it on purpose. I wonder...

wonder no more... they do talk like that on purpose. damn flamers. they hang around others who talk like that and BAM! kinda like those people who go to georgia and come back after awhile and talk like shit. minnesota sometimes does it or maybe it was jersey.... just give them a good slap.
but fighting at parties-not cool. i heard it was invented by frat boys because someone told them it was cool.

Few newspapers routinely report injuries in Iraq, beyond references to specific incidents. Since the war began in March, 1,927 soldiers have been wounded in Iraq, many quite severely. (The tally is current as of Oct. 20.) Of this number, 1,590 were wounded in hostile action, and 337 from other causes. About 20% of the injured in Iraq have suffered severe brain injuries, and as many as 70% "had the potential for resulting in brain injury," according to an Oct. 16 article in The Boston Globe.
I think it may be wrong to assume that gay guys who talk faggy do it on purpose.
There is a certain pronounced, even somewhat stereotypical way of talking faggy that I believe was most likely learned.
But I knew some friends in high school who had no gay friends, and one in particular didn't talk faggy in the same aforementioned way, but still had a somewhat feminine tone in his voice. I do not believe he was talking that way on purpose, as he would have had no one to learn it from.

I do believe that, yes. There were two guys in my third grade class that I had a sense were gay, without even having heard that word or being able to fully formulate in my mind what it meant. I just knew that's what they were.
I don't buy Sloth's assertion that everyone is bisexual, either. Plenty of gay people claim the opposite sex does nothing for them and vice versa.

"The opposite sex does nothing for them..."
except create them in the first place.
I am not saying that people don't swing one way or another. A very high number of "straight" people would never sleep with someone of the same sex. A very high number of "gay" people would never sleep with someone with someone of the opposite sex.
But what is sex? Does it really involve dorking someone up the pussy or ass? Isn't kissing sex? Does anybody besides Bill Clinton believe that blowjobs arent sex?
Why is that gay guys are always seen with women and you never see dykes hanging out with guys?
I stand by psychology's bisxual argument. I think sexuality is neither exclusively nature no nurture.
I think a lot of people who turn exclusively "gay" or "straight" do so out of hatred or fear of a parental figure.
I think psychology is boring so I am not going to try to prove this. It's just what I've read and what my intuition tells me is true.
I do also have friends who were gay who had great parents. Some people are just queer. I admit that. But even they had girlfriends at some point. I can't speak for everyone however, it's just my slothy a priori thesis.

Well, Sloth, you see, you put me in a difficult position.
I would very much like to believe that everyone is bisexual, having been in the situation of being deeply in love with someone who was not on the correct side of the fence to be dealing with me. But I've seen too much evidence to the contrary, and not just in the case of that one person.
So I must admire your idealism (what was that about redefining what sex was? Way cool philosophy, dude) even if I don't believe it represents reality.

Okay call me stupid, but why do we need to send troops somewhere if the war is already over with. Hmm. 85,000 U.S. troops have been alerted they will soon be sent to Iraq to relieve forces who have been there for up to a year, Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld said Thursday.
In addition, nearly 47,000 National Guard and Reserve forces are in the process of being notified that they will be activated to serve in Iraq or Afghanistan Rumsfeld said at a Pentagon news conference. Even more Army soldiers could be alerted soon to add to those deployments, Rumsfeld said.
Has there ever been a war that was declared over, and then started up again a few months later after the asshole leader told the enemy to "bring it on" and when they did the conquors started getting killed at a rate of about one soldier a day?

Well, I TRIED to post this picture, but the picture came out as nothing more than a silly little box with a red "x" in the middle.
