Bulletin Board of Bad Behavior

Well in five days I turn thirty-fucking-four. Allah, where has all the time gone? And how did I ever make it? Once, about a year and a half ago, riding The Sloth’s bike through Seattle, I had a bit of an epiphany, sort of a thought, or something. Maybe, hopefully, I saw the future, because what entered my mind was that in my thirty-fucking-fifth year something really good was going to happen in my life. I don't buy lottery tickets, I don't see marriage as a particularly good thing (happy having girlfriends, thanks) and my job is pretty much a dead end, I can't advance or make lots of money. So I hope this epiphany or random thought, or whatever it was will be that my novel will be fully finished and done.

So, I guess now I can just cruise for a year, take it easy and sit back and wait. If it's my fate, I don't have to work for it. Right? Wrong. I don't believe in fate. I believe in cause and effect. I believe Bush is going to hell.

Anyway, I'm an Aries. I share my birthday month with Adolph Hitler and Saddam Insane. Lucky me. And that bike? It was stolen. But don’t tell The Sloth.

Yeah ... McCutcheon, Happy Birthday. Drink some wine ... a lot of wine ... for me as a toast. I shall meet you one day and we'll drink one or two or three together. Hopefully, neither of us will be in our 40s by then.

Me old? Not as old as Martino. And rabbit, you should hope you age as well as we do. Martino and I are like fine malt liquor, I mean single malt scotch, shit, let's just go with the standard cliche, we are like a fine wine. A Bordeaux, a FRENCH Bordeaux. And Sloth is old, and Myke is old, and I bet Brett is old, and Mav and Mark are close behind me, but by old I mean in the 30's, so is Rosie and Zac and even a whole lot of people I don't know. There are even some people in this world that are even older than I am!!!! Wow.

Happy B-Day McC. I'm a little younger than you but I feel just as old, if that makes any sense. I think Stuart is older than you, though, come to think of it. Ah hell, who wants to spend their lives clutching at youth? It's kindof futile anyway. You're as young as you feel.

Happy Birthday. You're right, I am old. I turned thirty in December and found a gray hair just the other day. When are you going to arrive in the great northwest? I'm tired of drinking alone and watching OLN. If you come up here we can go to my Country Club and play tennis in see through shorts and shirts. They have a grass court so I suggest you bring your soccer shoes. Better traction. We'll have a rather raucous time.

where i come from, it is seen as bad luck to celebrate before the fact. why, it is even considered to be akin to blasphemy because you are taking it for granted that god will let you live up until the date.

but in mc's case it seems to be a different kettle of fish; i think he just wants absolutely everybody to know when the big day comes up so that he can get a lot of congratulatory blow jobs.
