Jack ... glad you had a great time hiking in the Smokies. Now that my reconstructed knee is all better, I hope to get back into the hiking game this spring. I don't think I could ever do the whole Appalachian Trail, though. You can spend days and days and days on it.

Geez ... what youngsters. I'll never forget my 21st birthday. I went out of town, got drunk, picked up a girl at a bar, and got laid. She was 34 and I was 21. I thought, what an older woman. Now I'm older than that and it doesn't seem so old! Well, not much anyway.

Happy b-day Mc, and christ, I think I'm the youngest member of this bb! What troubles me is that I'm sure that I feel older than most of you due to my debauched lifestlye of lots and lots of smoking stuff and drinking gut rot Wisconsin beer.
Hey Myke, the smokies were fantastic. We came across a couple of petite southern belles at 6300 feet elevation. We spent St. Patricks day drinking cheap Canadian whiskey with a couple of descheveled Kentuckians at 6400 feet elevation under the moonlight. And I'm not quite sure, but I think we passed the ghost of William Faulkner down on deep creek trail. He brushed by without a word and almost knocked me over.

i am an older bird, 31 and my birthday is on 4/20 . i was lucky to grow up with el caminos and run dmc.however, my birthday is the same as Napoleon's and Hitler's. i wonder if i drink and smoke as chiefton?
