Bulletin Board of Bad Behavior

.....and the depression is kicking my ass again. It doesn't help that i am a 17 yr old male, stuck in a small white US town. I feel so disgusted by the pitiful high school culture that surrounds me. Is it even possible to be happy in such circumstances? I am love sick. When I am attracted to someone i am so blinded that i fail to see that the girl really gives half a shit about me. Does anyone have any words of wisdom for me?....I feel like there is some logical, and perfect answer out there.

Write poetry, move to Paris, find an older homosexual lover, take lots of drugs, get shot in the stomach in a fit of jealousy when you threaten to leave him, move to North Africa, become a slave trader, and then die crazy from syphilis at age 42...

...or else you could work at the Bank of Michigan Haslett branch.

write poetry and go see the film Bowling for Columbine, go on a raod trip to Canada, buy some sad music- Joy Division, Ryan Adams, or some fun music The Kills, Ryan Adams.

Grab a camera and a journal and travel across America. Write and photograph all that you see. You'll be amazed how your perception of the world will change. Avoid Canada, very cold and the women are wearing way to much clothing this time of year. Northern Africa is cool, but trying to buy booze there is a real pain in the ass. You could always grab a backpack and head to Central America. There's monkeys down there. Monkey=funny.

When I was in high school I remember hating it very much too, particularly the academic pressure, although I was in a pretty small town myself, and I know where you're coming from there. I remember staring up at the stoplight next to the school and thinking wistfully "out there, in the real world, one day I'll be out of this prison" My friend at the time who was out of high school would say "things will be so much better when you get out". Well, they were, but the music I experienced in high school will never be matched. Go figure. I guess that's part of the tradeoff.

hey small minded idiots, leave those kids alone. as I'm not much of a father figure (thank fuck) or some one you should look up to. I should keep my mouth shut. But I will say to those kids out there suffering through high school hell who might find some fun relief from this site, the best thing I can tell you to do is hang on and be well informed. read this.
