On Valentine's Day I had a HIV test. Today I got the results. I'm negative for both HIV-1 and HIV-2, I'm happy to say. Not even J.C.'s cruel moods can get me down. I was never that worried but at the back of the mind it does linger. Anyway, I did a DJ mix and wrote for a long time. Now I'm off to get pissed.

My roommate got food poisoning the night of celebrating our release from HIV fear. She fucked the whole thing up by trying to switch identification forms and go in for me and have me go in for her. She didn't want someone she didn't know to tell her if she was positive. I understood, and then I got caught and booted to the end of the line while she went on through coming out beaming as I chewed on my nails. I wanted to strangle her, but after spending the rest of our evening in the emergency room watching her hooked to an IV and carrying it down the hall to the potty for her; I realized it didn't matter. We were okay, and that is a great feeling!

Celebrate responsibly -- don't eat the chicken!

Have lots and lots of fun -- anyone who lives through that nerve shattering experience deserves it!!

rosie, once again:

can't hack it, because i don't truss it. i was going to write a long (and for me topical) piece about adultery: about how there is a thin line between being either justifiably polyamorous and sexy on the one hand, and being unconscionably sneaky on the other. and how difficult it is to define the line.

but posting anything close to reality is too risky for me right now. and turning it into fiction didn't feel right.

so at some point in the future -- in a couple of days, weeks or months? -- i will post under a new identity, in order to protect identities.

in the mean time, rosie, let me assure you that the ongoing story is about consenting and knowledgeable adults and that no one without fault is getting hurt. this may sound superficial or even callous but it's true

Can't we all keep the same sign in name? What are we, the Aphex Twin?
