who is sara?
sara

Post by sara »

You know what, fuck it

Sara is Sarah and Charles and was wearing a black shirt and a necklace that had an S on it in a picture that I did send to MC

Now, with that said

What an f-ing summer.

The hubby and I are getting divorced.

I told Matt that he had gotten a letter from the Old Navy, not the store, which he got in April -- it sent me off into left field mentally, and my computer was also completely messed up -- it still is, but it is at home with the hubby, and I am not.

And speaking of school, I was an English major in college, which basically means you're really good at two things, reading and bullshitting -- but this I can't bullshit.

It's good to see you, hope everything's alright -- I believe that is what people say, when they are concerned that is. At least that's how it's said in the South.

Divorced?

I never know how to react to announcements like that. I wonder whether to say, "That's great, congratulations," or "I'm sorry, you must be going through a lot of pain right now."

I never thought I'd end up being the only 100% completely happy married person in the world but so far so good.

Weren't you saying a couple of years ago how happy you were? What happened? Why would you send Mc a picture and not the rest of us? Are you some sexy southern belle? Do you have a crush on McCutcheon? Now that you're getting divorced let's hear the English major spill some beans.

Well, yep, I'm getting a divorce. But it's going to be alright. The hubby and I have been friends for fifteen years. It is really difficult to end that kind of relationship, and yes I did say that and we were happy, but I suppose sometimes you have to eat crow. Rather than eating crow, I think I'd like to say sometimes change is good and necessary and it doesn't have to mean unhappiness, it just means finding a different kind of happiness -- and now I feel like Dr. Phil, which is not nearly as much fun as Dr. Feel-good.

I wouldn't really say that we're unhappy now either; I mean life is just too much to be that unhappy. I was really unhappy and confused, but it was because I hadn't been talking about it, so I did and eventually I was okay with it.

I think today is grandparents' day by the way, and what grand ones the hubby has. His dad, my father-in-law, came by to see and tell me that he loved me anyway. That's love -- once I wrote a short story called feeding the baby is love; although it had nothing to do with my father-in-law, it was still a true statement.

Why would I give MC a picture and not the rest of you; because I trusted him. I figured his picture is all over the place, he must know how to do the right thing with one, and it looks like he has.

And pictures say a lot -- don't you think? I mean the hubby and I had made it through a really rough spot, and I was like hell, yes, you can be happy in spite of months of separation.

A crush on MC? That's an interesting question.

Who are you? Did you learn anything at all -- has this done anything for your life? Have you grown -- the point is not the money -- it never is -- why would it be -- who are you is who you are. Now who is that?

Uh....did we already discuss this??
I can't remember.

Anyway-I went there as well, and like you-loved and hated it for many of the same reasons. Coming from Long Island-it was an incredible 'experience'.

What year did you start? I lived in Century/Sierra/Mardette.

I was an English-creative writing major-but did a lot of film school work (did sound/Nagra for a few graduate work guys, and then mostly PA and acting for others). I also starred in my roomate's films for his undergrad classes. One of which had me half naked....needless to say (before I came out) the entire gay population of the film school followed me around for a few weeks. Oh the stories.

I remember coming home to my roomates and saying "this fucking faggot followed me home today again...fucking gross"...ahh...I tried so hard then to make believe I was not who I was....

Anyway-I was on campus they day the riots started and got chased off by some large man who was yelling "ALL YOU WHITES ARE GONNA DIE TODAY!!"
If I'm making any sense, then I haven't made myself clear.

I know who you are, you want to know how -- I think about what I read -- your first and last name are not important to me unless you want me to show how important they are, and I can and I will if that's what you want, but you are going to have to say it -- I'll go first I want to be here to help you, and all you have to say if you want me to leave is leave.

No Tom, we never talked about it. I was there from 1989-93. I studied aerospace engineering (seriously), political science, and theatre. I lived in Parkside for 1 year and Century for two, and then in Hollywood my last year. I was trapped in the freshman dorms when they closed down campus during the riots. I was there rehearsing with my voice partner for a recital. She took the opportunity to try to seduce me, but since she looked like that kid on commercials from the '70's Messy Marvin, I didn't go for it. I almost got arrested when I tried to go back to Century for a pot to make spaghetti in. Crazy.

I too was in a bunch of film student films-some better than others. It's what took me from the Theatre type I was to the Film type I am now. Plus the drama school was annoying.

So what years were you there? or perhaps I should just re-read your original post. Anyway, fight on. Little joke there.

Tom...I've been told to ask you, do you remember Tracy and Laura from Century Apartments freshman year?

It will be quite odd if you do. I'll tell you why when you respond.

I think I remember Maverick.

Cutch says you and Tracy are married???

Wow. What a small world.

I used to be friends with Anne...Tracy's roomate. I remember going into their apartment and Tracy was studying with someone all the time together...was that you???

Anyway-this is very weird. You must tell her I said hello.
Oh-and tell her that I slept with Fred years after college. She'll know who I mean.

And please tell me about Laura.....Cutch said something that made me very worried and upset.

Mark, you should read Fortress of Solitude by Jonathan Lethem. I think you'd like it.
