A Thousand Kinds of Lonely

Post by TragicPixie »

I moved into the dorms Tuesday. I'm really lonely though, I feel like I don't know anyone really.
Yeah, I know people but I'm not really close to them. The group of people I am sorta close with is engulfed in this... drama. I don't have time for drama really. Pft! It makes me nervous about getting to know any of them better because I'm sure that would cause more drama ... and then it's gonna be just like jr. high and all this shit is gonna suck.

I'm lonely - and sober - and sitting in my dorm room alone ... *sighs*

Someone should just randomly call me or something - maybe I should have a huuuuge party next Sunday. Then I'm sure to make some more friends - without drama.
Lie to me, it takes less time to drink you pretty.

there's so much to DO in St. Louis!

ok..well....I say stop being sober.

You're in St. Louis so the lonely part is NEVER going to change.

There's nothing left to do but fool yourself into bliss with cheap wine.
If I'm making any sense, then I haven't made myself clear.

Well, I feel for you Pixie, I've been feeling pretty damn lonely these days and I'm not even in a dorm! There was an article in the newspaper this past week about what items people should bring to college with them as they go into dorms and what items to leave behind and it made me think of you and your frenzied microwave buying etc.

But you know, I think what you're going through is pretty normal when you first start school and is likely only a temporary situation.

Tom - there's a Gang Of Four lyric - "To Hell With Poverty! We'll get drunk on cheap wine!"

lol actually it's not my first year, but my roommate decided to call the week before we move in to say that even though I said I had a fridge, she got one and is moving in with it. I opted to be the nicer person.

I just need to make new friends... outside of the tight-knit group I have. Currently Girl A is fucking her ex, whom friend B wants to fuck and ex is you know... a guy and not really paying attention to the drama Girl A is causing (and she looooooooooves drama) by acting like just cause she's fuck buddies with him she owns him and it's sort of out of line for her to be upset with Girl B. I however happen to enjoy the company of the ex and his fine backrubs come very much in handy for a dancer... Too bad I'm afraid to be alone with him at the moment else I too shall find myself caught up in the um... fucked up love triangle.

On the upside, I met a guy in psych class that claims to give great neck and shoulder rubs... He seems nice enough annnnd he thinks I'm interesting simply because I've been to Europe, I write bad poetry, and I've done drugs. Hurrah for innocent Catholic boys who happen to be cool.

I am lol

But that doesn't mean I can't have male friends! Boys are sooo much easier to talk to than girls... or at least for me anyway. Maybe I'm strange.

yay I'm not strange...

Maybe he was trying to chat me up... but then agian, that would be really funny - the one morning I don't really get dressed for class and didn't have a chance to shower (literally did throw on a pair of jeans, a jacket, and some flip-flops and some lip gloss... oohhh the fashion faux pas) I get hit on! Haha... not very likely though.

I think he was hitting on you. And I hope you're clear with these neck/shoulder/back rubbing boys that it isn't going anywhere beyond that.

Well I highly doubt he wasn't hitting on me, and of course I am. To be fair though, I don't get many shoulder/back/neck rubs because I'm apparently delicate and most people just hurt me. (Although, a friend of mine is really trying to pop my slipped disks back into place and is working on not brusing ribs with his hands.)

Tragic, I am probably old enough now to not be considered a betrayer for telling you this...guys still will hit on you even though you don't think you were dressed up enough or looking good enough to warrant it. In fact, that was probably part of why he did talk to you. Also, guys who tell you about how good their back rubs are want to fuck you. Nothing wrong with that...thats part of why McC says you're too young to be engaged. Young dancer girls in college should be free to indulge in a few backrubs that lead to more.

That's my opinion, based on my experience with trying to give backrubsto several young dancer girls in college (and high school, for that matter.

Well they aren't getting in my pants :P But I will happily partake of backrubs; I'd just prefer them without bruises to prove it.

As for the one who's backrubs I have actually experienced is just a nice guy. And he has his dick pierced three times... which means it's not going anywhere near me... that's reeeeally not my thing. lol Scariness.

Young dancers can be engaged and do just fine provided they mention that before anything happens. It always helps when they have a ring. It's been my experience anorexic boys are in the same shape about their bodies as anorexic girls... thus the Catholic boy is cool and most likely not getting in my pants; cause he wouldn't want to be that exposed and nor would I.

Hmm. A Catholic and a guy who's had his dick pierced three times. Talk about polar opposites!
