I liked Dostoevsky a lot, but never read Chekhov that I can recall.

The Brothers Karamazov is one of my all time favourite books. I read it while my wife and I were travelling Europe. Anybody read any Michael Collins? I'm getting into his books right now. I tried to read War and Peace once. Got distracted by a spider descending from my skylight. That crazy spider and I sure shared some good times.

Dostoevsky is probably the most gifted writer ever. I haven't read Brothers yet... but nearly everything else. I am saving that one for my next trip to Russia.

I saw something at the video store of John Gielgud's involvement with some plays written by Chekhov. I'm thinking about renting it.
