Tibor Fischer

Tibor Fischor is one of my favorite writers who is alive and writing and living in London. He comes a close second to The Sloth. His first book Under The Frog was so new, so original, it was like discovering a new band, and I read it and was like Bam! Cool. Under the Frog was also a Booker Prize finalist. Tibors second novel The Thought Gang was about a fat drugged up and drunk English philosopher and a French thief. the beging sentence is one of the best first sentenes of any novel ever. His third book The Collectors Collector I thought was a bit shit. But oh well, he now has a collection of short stories called Don't Read This Book if You're Stupid, and I like short stories as you may have gathered from the web site. And the storeis are killer and should be read even if you are stupid. The first stoy is We ate the Chef and is for you Sloth. Get down to W.H. Smith and buy it today. Now I love my current Brit Lit, because they are actually writing something I like- Mike Gayle, John King, Martin Amis, James Hawes, Iain Banks and of course Irvine Welsh and Nick Hornby, thank you. And thank you too, Tibor Fischer.

If y'all are thinking of reading Tibor Fischer I would suggest The Thought Gang. It's really good. I remember a drunken phone conversation with Mc about seven years ago when he told me to read that one.
