is a good poetic line anit- semitic?

So h. and I and Amanda are very out of it with all the valium and champagne. not that we are complianing. but here is the thing...

I have written a poem and a few lines go like this...

you have broken my heart
it makes me hate
i wish you were a Jew
during World War Two

I think this is powerful and gives a good image, but is it wrong?

No, it's not wrong, I also hate particular persons. Maybe "jew in wwII can be interpreted as a metaphor for meaning something else. Words are words are words.

ok, i realize my comment was not clever -- especially in contrast to jack's hilarious and poetic contributions.

(anyway, clever is not something i intend to be, even tho i do appreciate mac describing me thus).

i would elucidate why i think the line stinks but that would probably be tantamount to flogging a dead horse. so i won't, unless someone asks me to.

Oh boy would the debate fly off the hook. But that might not be clever either. It might be as smart as nominating George W. Bush for the Nobel Peace Prize. Has the world gone mad? I don't know that I'd say I hate anyone from Texas due to the fact that I have friends there and they've never done me wrong.
Bush is a horse's ass of course.
But the rest of that crap about hating Texans...
