but martino, even by saying that you have missed the boat completely.
what you and mc say is easy, and obvious.
you strive to be so interesting with your posts,
what are your ideas about spirituality, 1-10.
values is a stupid word, but i am drunk and i know you know what i mean. what do you believe?

I am a spiritual person. I am even slightly religious, while simultaneously having problems accepting the organized religion that helped raise me. I'm Catholic, if the designation matters. And it must since my parents and schools have always taught me the Church's values; however, I have a problem accepting some of the values.

I do accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. And frequently I use Pascal's Wager to justify my beliefs.

rosie honey, sorry to have missed the boat -- or, as it were, sorry you think this is the case.

i do not strive to be interesting. i try not to bore, that's all. fair enough, wouldn't you say?

i try to fit the message to the media. since this is not a philosophical message board i try to keep it light and smooth. give me a meal -- or let me cook one up -- and some good wine and i will spend hours with you talking about what i know and what i believe in. carl schmitt, cg jung, freud; hobsbawm, gellner; arno schmitt, amis, nabakoff, larkin, proust, juenger: this is a washing list of things that make me tick. physical love, intellectual honesty, love of children, love of oneself: these keep me from going crazy. not to mention the music, dancing and the drugs. my last post was about a dislike; let's talk about what life should be about in seattle or in prague. or here, in the days to come.

Sorry to disagree with you again Jack, but Pascal's wager is a lose-lose proposition.

If you believe in a Christian God and He exists, the we are all fucked. If you believe in a Christian God and He doesn't exist, then we are all fucked.

Either way we are all fucked so why bother believing in him? Nobody from the Bulletin Board of Bad Behavior is going to be saved. I think if there is a God the last thing he wants us doing is wasting our time praising him unless he's a right egotistical twat. If God really wanted us to worship him, He would have never invented Shaun Ryder.

The best thing to do is to get your kicks now while you still can. Take the pills, snort the lines, and fuck anybody you fancy.

My God wants humanity to whoop it up. And I bet my God can kick Pascal's God's holy hypocritical ass.

to me , god and religon should not related.
who knows who god or how many entities he is, or if we will or will not be saved, this is religion.
god is the curve of a woman, the smell of poisonous flowers, a good solid connection with a person, sex, giving to people you fucking hate.
god is a noun , but should be a verb.
in this respect i too hate organized religon,
but i love spirituality and the way it makes me feel when i do these things. fucking easy.

This is one of my biggest interests. However, my contradictions on the subject even pass me up unknowingly. I met someone who has devoted his life to christ. That's all he does. Everday, all day long, 24-7, 365 days a year. He helps people. He digs through dumpsters and collects large quantities of non-perishable food that he hands out to hungry people. He isn't a part-time sunday lets go to church dear and wash away our last six days of sins so we can go on living type of christian. And I just don't have the heart to tell him my real thoughts on the topic. Some things are better left unsaid. If a life of christ is what gets you off, so be it I say. If a life of sex and drugs and booze gets you off, so be it i say. Both are wonderful.

Your friend digs through dumpsters for food and gives it to people?

Uh...

Nevermind.
