I think we need to add a new post called art that will cover movies and painting and all other kinds of art. Right now on daytime tv there is a show about people who are going to cut off there long hair. That is the show. I take a break from writing and turn on the telly and this is what i see I want to fucking puke. This is stupid fucking shit. who watches this shit. i hate it so much I want to cry. It's like getting beat up and you are so mad the person is beating the crap out of you and tears come out of your eyes and it's not the physical pain that causes you to sry but the lake of being able to defen yourself, the humiliation of not being able to defend yourself.

well there is hope. and the hope for people like me are people who make movies that give me insipration. The two best film makers in the worls are two yound, handsome , clever , brilliant young men from Germany and France. Tom Tykwer of run Lola Run, Winter Sleepers and The Princess and the Warrior and Mathieu Kazitz who did Hate Crimson Rivers and acted in one of the best french films of the last couple years, Self made Hero. He was also in that film with Bruce and that super hottie MJ.

....everyone once in a while I like to throw in intials just to keep you all on your toes...in the know...if you know what i mean.

yes that Todd guy who did Doll House is very good but he is more story teller (which in fact I respect so much) but the Frog and Kraut are the best in the world. There is talent in this world. Don't believe me? Well it's not me, but I did make The Bus. Tom and Mathieu are going up and so is Joan Jettt.

And also Ralley my favorite German band who have an exclusice MP3 on pax Acidus are up for best film score at the Berlin Film fest. Good luck to Tom, Suzie and Sten!!!! Prost.

personally i appreciate the compliments about krautland - thanks, mcc.

great idea to start a film & music thread.

but tykwer sucks. run lola run is a stupid movie. mtv-style editing as the new nouvelle vague? why would anybody think that? and franka potente (lola) is a dumb, self-righteous, charmless snob.

more like it: catherine breillat, the french post-feminist, sometime pornographic, director. saw her newest film, traversee, at the frankfurt film festival, and it was more interesting than anything out of germany i have seen in the last 3-or-so years.

I have to disagree, maybe it's hard to appreciate things in your own back yard. i loved Winter Sleepers the best even though Run Lola Run was a more Rave film (Pax Acidus started out as a clubbers site because the sloth likes to dance but I've been slowly tricking God by turning it into a think tank of fucked up emotion- it's not easy tricking God) I I can't remembere the last time I was at a real Rave...anyway i say cheers to Tom because he has done three films already and working it. My only prob with him is the endings, they always leve me fell a little bit cheated. and that French chick--in Romance she made sex seem boring. I liked My sister though, over here they called it Fat Girl which i thought was funny... but then again cheap ending. My fav is still Mathieu, and not just because of his name. he is so good in everything.

I've been deep into Tarwater's music and the other names they call themselves lately. good stuff.

I liked Franka because she was different then the hollywood type actress, she actually has small breasts and big ass, she has to act with her face and in the moment. but if you say she is souless, oh well. see, it's better not to know about people. it ruins everything.

M- have you seen the indie Greman film called (in English) Funny Games where these two guys in all white break into the cottage of a family on vacation? that was good, except they went and made it too short so they tried to stretch it by filming the last third in too long of shots, see the fim Woman Chaser to how not to make a movie.

rosie: nope, I haven't read it. will order @ amazon.

and this is one of the great things about paxacidus: you get pointed to interesting and sometimes brilliant things, by interesting and often sexy people.

So who saw Storytelling? Two stories on film, one fiction and one non fiction. It's by uber geek Todd. Both about crumby existence. Franka is in it.

Sloth lets add an art section to the bb of bb.

Oscars are Sunday -- we're having a party -- timely! I don't care who gets what, but the host is a movie (no wrong, he doesn't see movies) film snob, and it's a good excuse to get dressed up and do other fun stuff. I vote yes to a new art section!
