Gregory Corso
3-26-1930
1-17-2001

Though I don't read much of his stuff, he was one of the more honest poets of his generation, and I believe that time will be his triumph for in about 30 years "they" will be reading his stuff right along side Ginsberg and Shelley (a poet Corso admired dutifully).

Bomb(the original script written to look like a mushroom cloud)
by Corso

Budger of history Brake of time You Bomb
Toy of universe Grandest of all snatched-sky I cannot hate you Do I hate the mischievous thunderbolt the jawbone of an ass The bumpy club of one million B.C. The mace the flail the axe or Catapult Da Vinci tomahawk Cochise flintlock Kidd dagger Rathbone Ah and the sad desperate gun of VERLAINE! Pushkin Dillinger Bogart and hath not St. Michael a burning sword St. George a lance David a sling-
Bomb you are as cruel as man makes you and you're no crueller than cancer- All man hates you they'd rather die by car crash lightining drowning falling off a roof electric chair heart attack old age old age OBomb Theyy'd rather die by anything but you Death's finger is freelance Not up to man whehter you boom or not Death has longh since distributed its categorical blue I sing thee bomb Death's extravagance Death's jubilee Gem of Death's supremest blue The flyer will crash his death will differ with the climber who'll fall To die by cobra is not to die by bad portk Some die by swamp some by sea and some by the bushy haired man in the night
O, there are deaths like withces of Arc Scarey deaths like Boris Karloff in the act
No-feeling deaths like birth-death sadless deaths like old pain bowery Abandoned deaths like Capital Punishment stately deaths like senators and unthinkable deaths like Harpo Marx-A fumble in humanity.......................(Cut short by me)

Gregory Corso was and is more talented than I could ever comprehend. That is not saying much about myself. Shit.......Shit.......Shit........Does anyone here wake up each and every morning with a smile on their face and a dream in their eye???

well, that's two people I have brought up that have made the bus. But I am still a young punk that doesn't know anything, huh? Oh well, gregory is good. I have read some of his stuff as of late and he is probably the best poet of the 21st century, mind ginsberg and snyder.
