Not to be pedantic or anything, but The Acid House was Welsh utilising the creative freedom afforded him by the success of Trainspotting, which began as a series of short missives written on a Greyhound Bus traversing the US before formulating into New Jock Lit in Rebel Inc. Fanzine. The stories in Acid House are predominantly Post T/Spotting; just look what happened structurally in Marabou Stork Nightmares when he had no worries about paying the rent. Glue, by the way, is a return to the territory marked out in Trainspotting, but based around those we are familiar with's (bad Punct.) older siblings, spanning thirty years of punchin', punkin' & Acid poncin'. You will Enjoy. Sorry I was being pedantic, wasn't I. Read Beam Me Up Scotty by Michael Guinzburg(Arcade/Rebel Inc), Terry Southern referred to it as 'the purest American prose since Faulkner's Sanctuary. Hope you enjoyed POPTONES Radio 4!
Ciao!

Hey I wrote some of my best stuff on grayhound buses. Like the story about this urine-stenched guy I was sitting next to who kept reading the bible and looking at me while masterbating through his pants until he chirped and I fell into the aisle.
