Here is a link to Roger McGough doing his little poem about Liverpool. (European capital of culture 2008)

McGough came out of Liverpool about the same time as the Beatles. Alongside the poets Brian Pattern and Adrien Henri. (He is in the Rutles film, where he gets interviewed as "the man who knew the Rutles.")

Anyway, his poem was not allowed to be read out in the house of commons this week. He reads it here.

Note: scousers is the word for people from Liverpool.
