"Get this guy in the god damn bus!"

_____
"When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro…"

Born Hunter Stockton Thompson in Louisville, Kentucky July 18, 1937, the Great Gonzo is a true American hero. A sportswriter by profession, he founded a style of journalism (known as Gonzo Journalism) that is far more imbedded than the front lines reporters in a war. Hunter would not only go to the front lines, but also picks up an assault rifle and joins right in.

Whatever must be done to get the real, whole and true story will be done. His integrity as a journalist is unmatched. He'll go the extra mile even if that means rolling with the Hell's Angels, or consuming heroic proportions of LSD, ether, or whatever the fuck else is going around.

Hunter is a freak at six foot, two inches tall of a man, always thirsty. He bobs up and down while walking, like some bizarre overgrown run-away marionette as a result of one leg being longer than the other.

He's yet to write a book that doesn't make you laugh your ass off and become enraged at society all in the same breath. Hunter now writes for ESPN, and is featured on their website. ESPN has got some balls and lawyers working overtime. Unless his liver gives up the ghost sometime in the near future due to the wild turkey, we can expect a new book just about every year spawned at the ‘Owl Farm'.
