rock 'n' roll novels

Post by martino »

so tell me, are they all shit? right now i can only think of "Powder", by kevin sampson, which was in some respects intruigingly informative, but in the sum of its parts quite miserable. are there any good ones? or at least some amusing or readable ones?

in comparison to powder, the new one by cutch has a good beginning. will he be able to keep it interesting? perhaps, if he remembers that almost all rocknrollers are unsympathetic types... the lifestyle is interesting but the casting is normally shit.

make the guy interesting, stick to a good plot, cut the music-fan stuff (unless you are writing the novel for an audience of two: yourself & markey), and add some pleasant debouchery. please.

What was the B-side of that single?

This one might be just for me and Marky because I'm keeping all the music in. I wonder if anyone ever wrote a novel for an audience of 2?

sorry to be catching up on all this so late, but . . .

I don't know of any rock 'n roll novels, but I did buy Lit Riffs a while ago -- I liked it enough to take it to the beach with me, where it, for the most part sat on a towel getting warped and soggy.
