The Da Vinci Code

Post by mccutcheon »

Well this book, the Da Vinci Code in number two on the bestsellers list. It's about the murder of a curator at the Louvre. But on the first fucking page they mention the American University of Paris. Now this is where Slothers and I went to school and meet each other. And so that is cool. What pisses me off is that Burnt ends at the American University of Paris, and I wanted to be the first person to write about it. Now this guy, Dan Brown, who looks like a literary geek on the dust jacket will get that glory. Fuck I have to stay focused and find an editor. I mean wouldn't you rather read a book with a picture of me in a bathrobe and licking a beer bottle on the dust jacket. I know I would- but I'm a bit biased. Well shit, I'll probably never make it to hard cover, which is fine by me. What I really want to do is start my carrer.

How is the rest of the book, though? Total gobshite I would suppose. I remember my mom saying she liked it so there you go. Not that she has bad taste for a 62 year old woman from Pennsylvania... but I think you know what I mean. These are after all the people who make best sellers bestsellers. My mom thinks Updike is the best American writer and loves his ´controversial´nature. By the way she still hates you Mc so don´t quit the day job. She says you used to dress like Michael Jackson, a period which I must have been too drunk/high/sedated to remember. That would be funny though if you ever did. Like Dr. Dre in his spandex and makeup phase.

My mom and all her freinds loved Da Vinci Code too. It's one of those books everyone in the suburbs gets excited about. She read my Little Blue Bunnies story and she was a bit shocked, but admitted that she liked it. At least my mum likes me more than your mum does. Anyway her comment was, "But who would read such a thing?"

I never dressed like Michael Jackson. I do like to show my boobs though like his sister. I'm sure your mum didn't like Janet's 'controversial' style. If she never reads Burnt that's fine by me.

I must be in a good frame of mind because everything is 'fine by me.' Or I'm dead and no one told me yet.
