Today I got a record in the post, Happy Mondays Pills 'N' Thrills and Bellyaches. I've been looking for this record for ages on vinyl, and when the mailman delivered it the package was smashed. I looked at him and said, This is a vinyl record. He said, Oh no.

Oh No, fucking yeah, fucking Oh No! I ordered it from Germany and it cost a pretty penny, so I went from so happy, to so sad, to fucking mad. I'm not a Buddhist in the least and love my things like records and books. I say it loud. Fuck!!!!

I'll sound prejudiced and biased I know....but the last time I dealt with a German record shop I got jipped big time. I read an article that said German businesses just aren't as attuned with this 'please the customer' ethic as other countries. I feel awful saying this because I love Martino. Set me straight M!

But in the end, McC, surely it can't be that hard to find on vinyl. I'll see what I can do for you. I feel terrible for you. It may not have even been their fault. Perhaps it was the post.

I'm sure it was the post. The package was crunched in half right over the goblet sign Zerbrechlich Colis Fragile. But was it Deutsche Post or United States Post Office. It was also Einschreiben Recommande. So hopefully it was insured. I've sent an email to the company:

Hey you know what? You should try to get a refund through Gemm, not them. I just remembered you have to get refunds through Gemm. That might be what they're trying to tell you.

Yeah, here it is. You do have to send it back to them but Gemm will reimburse you for that and the original transaction. (Don't expect them to send you another copy, though. I'd try getting the record somewhere else):
