marketing the war

"From a marketing point of view, you don't introduce new products in August."

That's what Andrew Card, the White House chief of staff, told the New York Times last week, in a quote that quickly gained infamy for its brazenness. He was trying to say why no really new attempts were made during the summer to explain why the US should invade Iraq.

Doonesbury comic strip was really good today...
lampooning the ignorant stupidity of the average American about this war.

There's only one thing to do of course...
demonstrate. There will be a demonstration in
Seattle on Sunday Oct. 6 and here's a website
with a great name that tells about other
demonstrations elsewhere:

I only have to sit down with a newspaper for
about 10 minutes these days before I find myself
enraged.
