These lyrics were sent to me recently via email for some strange reason.
Id just like to know is this a police song?? Its driving me nuts

There's a little black spot on the sun today
That's my soul up there.
It's the same old thing as yesterday
That's my soul up there.
There's a black hat caught in a high tree top
That's my soul up there.
There's a flag pole rag and the wind won't stop
That's my soul up there.

I have stood here before in the pouring rain
With the world turning circles running 'round my brain.
I guess I'm always hoping that you'll end this reign,
But it's my destiny to be the king of pain...

There's a fossil that's trapped in a high cliff wall
There's a dead salmon frozen in a waterfall
There's a blue whale beached by a springtime's ebb
There's a butterfly trapped in a spider's web

There's a king on a throne with his eyes torn out
There's a blind man looking for a shadow of doubt
There's a rich man sleeping on a golden bed
There's a skeleton choking on a crust of bread

There's a red fox torn by a huntsman's pack
There's a black-winged gull with a broken back
There's a little black spot on the sun today.
It's the same old thing as yesterday,
That's my soul up there.......................

I have stood here before in the pouring rain
With the world turning circles running 'round my brain.
I guess I always thought you could end this reign,
But it's my destiny to be the king of pain.............

I'll always be king of pain............................

...so, what is this?, like: the bulletin board of boring behavior, or fucking what?

next stop on the bus, y'all: phil collins! because he is such a freakin poet, and has that ear for nice melodies.

and while we're at it, let's cash in on some ad money for posing in some suvs like sting did, caus he is all for rain forests and stuff. tantric sex, and mccan ericcson worldwide, yeah!

i was drunk when i wrote that. three AM local time, too tired to go to bed. pretty petty, i think now. sorry, mav, no personal offense intended.

(would it be petty however to re-affirm that i think sting is a phony?)

Je suis d'accord, Martino.

Sting is only interesting to middle aged housewives. But you gotta like that early paranoid raggae shit the Police did like Roxanne and Zondata Mondata or whatever. Then again I think I was 8 when that album came out.

"Rooooooxane, you don't have to put on a red light, you just have to sell your body to the night...Roooooooooxane!"

brilliant, don't you think Martino?

Martino you will be happy to know that out of my 5,643 MP3s in my media library there is not one Police or Sting song.

In this respect there is definitely not a hole in MY life...

There's a hole
In my life
There's a hole
In my life

Shadow in my heart
Is tearing me apart
Or maybe it's just something
In my stars

There's a hole
In my life
There's a hole
In my life

Be a happy man
I try the best I can
Or maybe I'm just looking
For too much

There's something missing from my life
Cuts me open like a knife
It leaves me vulnerable
I have this disease
I shake like an incurable
God help me please

O, there's a hole
In my life
There's a hole
In my life

-Sting

Switzerland used to have massive music fests on top of mountains and I used to go to them from Paris every summer and have great times. In the down time I'd hang with one of my bestest best mates in the world, Trevor who lived in Sion (FC Sion who had the distinction of winning the Swiss footie league while I was there-thanks boys) And Trev and I were taking the tram down the mountain and we were on a three day bender of booze and drugs and Trevor had lost a contact lens because I had whacked him in the head with a stale baguette, but alas I regress. So we met these foxy two chicks and we ended back down in Sion for a few days drinking and fucking with the two girls. They were from California and when sober where quite annoying, but they had great bodies and gave killer blowjobs, so what can two wasted boys do? They wanted to go to The Jazz fest so we took them and we were walking down the street and Sting was in front of his hotel doing some poncy Asian calisthenics in a robe. I whispered to one of the girls and nodded, “That's Sting. Being American and loud she shouted back, “That's not Sting! His nose is too big! But it was Sting and he heard her. Later that night I lost my girl with the great body and skillful blowjobs skills to Quincy Jones who took her to a private party. I think I ended up in a ditch alone.

Sorted sordid story, but not boring I hope Martino. I'm pinning for those Swiss fests.

Maybe the reason the B.B. is so bad at the moment is because I'm banging out a 1,000 words a day and only a month away from being done with the first draft of Burnt Roof of Mouth. Then again it isn't awlays up to the mostest postest bloke.

Trevor is Tara's brother and the name of my main charachter in Burnt Roof of Mouth. There is no more respect I can give. Yesterday I was asked how I can drink and party until three in the morning and at six in the morning get up and go running. Besides conceding it is manic behavoir all I can atest to is I can't waste this life.

charming story about switzerland. now i know why nastassia kinsky was (or is?) with quincy jones.

i really, really didn't mean to say this bb is boring. very, very sorry if anyone got this impression. jeez, i'm fucking boring myself, if anyone at all is, honestly.

what i was trying to imply was that i would hope that family values such as sobriety, moderation, and thrift, as represented by middle-class corporate rock musicians like sting, do not get on the PA bus.

but i was drunk, anyway.

that's all. to each his own. if you love sting, then set him free, or something.

i always say, everybody's right. stay loose, baby! now go and munch some nuts. (a great source of b vitamins! sure beats prozak.)
