JFK, the other century

Post by martino »

"And so, my fellow Americans, ask not whether I am screwing Vegas cocktail waitresses laid on by Frank Sinatra; ask whether I have nicer hair than Richard Nixon. Ask not whether my dad fixed the election for me; ask whether someone this handsome would bring the world to the brink of nuclear annihilation over a couple of Russian ships in Cuba. Ask not what your new president can do for you; ask what you can do for your new president. What's your name, sweetheart? Do you have a sister?"

JFK, the other century

i think it is ironic that jfk with the help of truman back in thye day launched us into a bloody war with the viet kong. his "this is the place" speech makes me sick. this is the place to show we are americans and have no global sense for anyones communities and politics.
must have been that all those debutante balls on the east coast went to his head.
as far as civil rights, thank god for bobby.
