It's my bro's b-day today but he has a date and just got back from snowboarding. I'm taking him out for a drink tomorrow. Tonight I'm by myself sipping some Chardonnay and watching Trainspotting by myself. Trainspotting is a movie I own and watch about once a month. Brilliant.

Hey McCutcheon, I'm new here and I know this is off the topic, but on the Images 4 page, are you reading "Still Life With Woodpecker" by Tom Robbins? I found that book on the side of the highway in Dallas about a year ago!!! Good book too!!! I'm 99% sure that's what you're reading there. What did you think?

I think Still Life is Tom's 2nd best book, with Skinny Legs and All being #1 in my heart, plus it is super relevent at the moment. Everyone should read it now. Finding Still Life on the side of the road seems a bit Poetic. Very cool moment in life.

Happy Birthday Mark!!!!! maybe see you tonight?

I'll have to check "Skinny Legs" out. Yeah, it was kinda poetic. I probably wouldn't have grabbed it, but I said out loud "Hey, that looks like a perfectly good book sitting there" to Spikedrabbit. He says back "Dude hurry up and grab it while you still can". So I pick it up and notice the people in the cars around us laughing at me. Well, they missed out! Finders keepers. Oh yeah, I didn't say happy birthday to your bro. Hope you had a wonderful b-day,man and here's to having one of the best years of your life!!!

How is Trainspotting an '80s movie? I don't understand?

I was pretty disappointed when I moved to Edinburgh and didn't meet any heroin junkies. although there are lots of cool scenes of places I used to hang out in Edinburgh. In the beginning when renton runs into that car hes on market street. there was a cool club there called, of all things...the market.

when renton and sick boy shoot the dogs balls with the air pistol they're in this park called The Meadows. thats where we used to got to smoke hash.

aaah Edinburgh, rainy dreary edinburgh, got bronchitis 3 times in a year and a half

in homage to sick boy I died my hair white

You have hair now? Come to Seattle this spring.

Trainspotting took place in the 80's. Look at the fashion, music trends. Like Diane tells Renton, "Music is changing, drugs are changing." Raves were just starting and ecstasy was a new drug in the U.K. putting the date around 1987.
