Fast Product were a forerunner of Factory records in terms of design. They were an Edinburgh, Scotland label that was the very first home of no less than Gang of Four, The Human League, and The Mekons. Here's the quote from Tony Wilson that made me laugh:

"The first really arty, clever label was Fast Product. A damn sight artier than us. If I could have put orange peel in a plastic bag and released it with a catalogue number, I would have been very proud."
