Bush is a Nazi

Post by Sloth »

"NATURALLY THE COMMON PEOPLE DONT WANT WAR, BUT AFTER ALL IT IS THE LEADERS OF A COUNTRY THAT DETERMINE THE POLICY. ITS ALWAYS A SIMPLE MATTER TO DRAG PEOPLE ALONG WHETHER ITS A DEMOCRACY, A FACIST DICTATORSHIP, A PARLAMENT OR A COMMUNIST REGIME. VOICE OR NO VOICE THE PEOPLE CAN ALWAYS BE BROUGHT TO DO THE BIDDING OF THEIR LEADERS.

THIS IS EASY. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING THREATENED WITH AN ATTACK ,THEN DENOUNCE THE PACIFIST FOR LACK OF PATRIOTISM AND EXPOSING THE COUNTRY TO DANGER. THIS WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."

Well even though I wrote an awful lot of crazy shit here last night that I don't rememeber and had a hell of hangover today, there is one part I thought I posted that I can't seem to find now and that was that I was in a traffic jam Tues. night trying to get to school and I was in a bad mood already and I turned on the radio to hear some guy with a country accent talking...apparently he was somehow involved remotely with some folks in the Bush administration...I can't remember exactly how, some military connection or whatever. And some people in the Bush administration had claimed not to know him and Donald Rumsfeld said his claims were bunk whatever it was...and so this guy kept talking saying how disappointed he was that whether or not Bush was really aware of things going on in his administration, he obviously was not taking any action to get rid of people who had done damage to him, etc etc and at the end of this long anti-Bush spiel the guy admitted he had voted for Bush twice and was a Republican and man I was suddenly SO completely INCENSED and FURIOUS right then.

I mean I know this is what it will come to, that eventually we'll have to start looking these fuckers in the eyes that didn't know what we knew all along and facing up to the fact that they are on our side of the fence, now. And so in a way we should be glad they are because it means Bush's downfall. But personally I'd just like to do a lot of bodily harm to them. I'm bad about that. I'm really bad about excusing people who I feel should have KNOWN things.

I mean, I see these people with W stickers on their cars at school, you know? And I wonder - should I get into a conversation with these people? Should I even try? I left a note for one of them on his/her windscreen (hey I remembered the British term! I feel proud of myself!) asking if we had killed enough, tortured enough people yet and telling them to take Bush and shove him up their ass. (okay, well, arse, but you know I didn't spell it that way then)

My favorite bumper stickers that I've seen are:

"The W stands for wrong"

and

"100,000 Iraqis killed, Got Morals?"

In truth it really astounds me too that Iraq is really only the tip of the iceberg with this guy. But it's almost like the only thing worth talking about with middle America.

So anyway, the little I managed to hear on the radio that night (you can tell I don't read the newspaper anymore don't you? Sometimes I really think I miss the newspaper - I get newspaper cravings, my dad was a newspaper nut and my mom delivered them so newspapers are very addictive for me and actually I used to be a lot more sober in the days I read the newspaper and enjoyed it a lot but I just don't know how much I really want to know anymore)

Anyway the little I managed to catch on the radio that night was saying that in Congress the whole Iraq thing is really heating up, that the Republicans introduced a bill in reference to pulling out of Iraq, that Iraq's government has asked us to come up with a timetable. But the weird thing was it said that most democrats voted *against* this bill and I'm not sure why or what it's all about - they ran a speech from Dennis Kucinich which as we all know is a MAJOR lefty liberal and he was speaking out against the bill and I just don't really understand it all anymore. They had this guy from the anti-war movement talking saying we need to continue to have demonstrations and contact our congressmen/women or it's just not going to happen. But you know fuck! I live in Seattle, there's probably a demonstration every weekend here, but is it going to make a difference?

Really I just feel confused and not sure how much I want to know but if anyone here can clarify things, I'll listen. I just don't want to read the newspaper.

I've really realized how much I've missed paxacidus today. I can't say I'm completely sober right now but I'm sober enough to be calm and I want you all to know I love you very very very much, and I mean that.

Well, I didn't hear the debate, but if you just say we're leaving on this date in this manner this gives a van load of advantages to the forces who want to commit carnage after you go. I'm sure Dennis is all about maximizing the chances of the innocent. God bless him.

Reps want to leave Iraq and Dems don't?

Think about it.

Maybe it's the same reason that the Reps wanted to go in their and 'kick ass' and the Dems didn't in then first place.

Leaving now would cause major bloodshed. Remember when Powell told Bush "if you broke it you bought it?" Well Bush shattered it.

What we need to do is to send Bush, Cheney, and Wolfowitz and all the other Rep assholes over there and let them be tried for war crimes by the new Iraqi government.

That way the new government would have some respect. Maybe enough to make a go of it.

Simply pulling out would cause massive civil war.

All the people who "trusted us" and joined the police would be shot... and possibly their families too.

This is why invading Iraq was such a MONUMENTALLY STUPID CRIMINAL thing.

Until Bush and Cheney resign and are tried for crimes against humanity, he is no better than Saddam. There can be no peace without responsibility.

It's not my fault that Bush never read a history book and Cheney is a fascist. I say sacrifice the dumb motherfuckers.

i call him curious george to keep the hate that i would like to develop in my heart for him at bay

anyway, middle america doesn't even think it's 100,000 that's what is astonishing to me.

the lancet report comes out . . .

the american public is like no, george is right, it's 30,000 he's been right about all this stuff, especially the weapons of mass destruction, so of course it is 30,000

what really is gross is that's it's one. killing one person for nothing can land your ass in the fryer . . . and he's killed how many?

it's yes, mark, enough to make a person want to throw away all the papers computers televisions magazines and radios and go howard hughes on the world.

Mexico abolishes the death penalty

Following approval by Congress to the necessary constitutional reforms, capital punishment was officially abolished in Mexico on December 9.
Prior to abolition, the death penalty was permitted in military courts. While Mexico has not carried out the death penalty since 1961, military courts have continued to pass the death sentence which has then been commuted by the president. Early this year the Mexican Chamber of Deputies unanimously voted to reform the military penal code and replace the death penalty with a prison term for serious offences. The abolition represents a major step in the long-standing campaign by Mexican and international human rights organizations.

Well thanks for the bit of vindication! I really do feel better.

And as far as where this issue was heading last time I posted on this thread, I realized the errors of my ways too late only after I'd gotten very angry and made a big scene on the other board. But in a way I felt it had to be done. I wanted people who were from other countries to see me talking badly about my own. I needed to do it.

I often feel conflicted about it - shouldn't I be reading the damn newspaper? I walk by the newspaper machines every day, glance at the headlines, wonder. Certainly I was much more able to contribute to discussion here at paxacidus in the days when I kept up with everything. Now I just go on and on about musical topics that no one has a clue about nor cares. But why, I ask you, WHY would I want to read the paper? For the next 2 years, why would I want to know? My senators and representatives are already anti-Bush, me writing them isn't going to make them more so. They know what to do without me even telling them. Such is not the case for everyone in this country of course, but thankfully I'm not out there in the wilderness.

I mean Bush is ugly enough as it is (and I don't mean in terms of physical appearance, necessarily), but it's equally if not more ugly to just sit and watch his ass go down, slowly, without him ever admitting failure.

Didn't the mighty Jam write a song about this?

Post by Tommy Martyn »

Now, I haven't heard it for ages but...

"I talk and talk till my head explodes
I turn on the TV and my body froze
Those braying sheep on the TV screen
Make this boy shout make this boy scream

I'm going underground" etc etc

Strange you should mention the Jam. I found myself thinking about Style Council the other day for no reason, and then solo Paul Weller (he sure seemed to be popular over there as a solo performer in the Brit Pop days but I never really latched on to him and I've always wondered if I should give him another try). Well next thing I knew I stumbled upon an internet radio station called Jam Restart or something, and they started playing Paul Weller. Another weird thing was this CD my friend in Scotland sent me of 80's 12" mixes included the long version of Style Council's "My Ever Changing Moods" which was exactly the song that started me onto this in the first place.

I'm talking about too much COINCIDENCE, do you understand? Like the universe just decided, no...insistedthat Marky was going to think about Paul Weller et al no matter what!

Right now I've got two internet radio stations on at the same time and they sound really weird together. I can't seem to decide which one I want to listen to. There's late era Pixies on one and this jazzy xylophone/piano stuff going on with the other one.

Also has anyone noticed that if you use Windows Media Player (which I don't normally do as I am an anti-Microsoft sort of person) that it has all these trippy colored designs going on while you play the music?

Damnit I just tuned in to an 80's internet radio station and sure enough they had Style Council cued up!! I really do feel as if someone is trying to shove this stuff down my throat.

I used to have their first album on vinyl and I want to shoot myself for not having it now.

Oh my god now they're playing a track from Echo & The Bunnymen's "Heaven Up Here" -

and only about 3 nights ago when I couldn't fall asleep I kept thinking about that album for no reason at all.

Big deal you just sense the future a bit marky, get over it.

Tonight I found out that the worst Christmas song in the entire world was Pat Benatar's "Christmas In America". I mean this is vomit material. If I ever have to endure that piece of shit again...

If she'd had the nerve to sing those lyrics after Dubya got into office, they'd have to put her away. I mean I can't even repeat the chorus. Let's not talk about it.

The irony of it is that I usually stick up for Pat Benatar amongst the hipsters who might deride her. But this Christmas song is really to be avoided at all costs.

Post by martino »

then i'd say it sounded innocuous. just imagine this as southern-fried twaddle coming from the dixie chicks: irksome but not damnable.

It's Christmas in America
There's carols in the air
The snow falling on the ground
There's holly everywhere
The people they're all different too
Their troubles put aside
They smile a little brighter
It seems at Christmas time

It's Christmas in America
Let the angels sing
It's Christmas in America
Let freedom ring
Let peace resound throughout the world
Especially on this day
It's Christmas in America
God bless the USA

The kids get so excited
Preparing for the day
Their letters to Santa have all been sent
The cookies have been baked
The creche under the Christmas tree
Awaits the baby child
It seems to mean so much more this year
Than it has in a while

Coz It's Christmas in America
Let the angels sing
It's Christmas in America
Let freedom ring
Let peace resound throughout the world
Especially on this day
It's Christmas in America
God bless the USA

So keep your babies close tonight
Hug your husband, kiss your wife
Be thankful for this way of life,
We're fortunate to share
And not forget the ones we've lost
Their memory lives on in our hearts
They'll be forever in our thoughts
And always in our prayers
Unto this world a child is born
His gift was meant for everyone
The light of peace shines on and on
And never fades away
America, America indivisible we are
One nation under God
And that will never change

Coz It's Christmas in America
Let the angels sing
It's Christmas in America
Let freedom ring
Let peace resound throughout the world
Especially on this day
It's Christmas in America
God bless the USA
It's Christmas in America
God bless the USA
