World Domination Enterprises or what my blog would look like

Post by marky »

Here's something like what my blog would look like it if I could get my arse in gear. The post at the top is about World Domination Enterprises' album "Let's Play Domination" which was circa...'88 or so. I'm a firm believer that every fan of rock music on either side of the Atlantic or anywhere else should at least hear World Domination Enterprises once in their life. They were just uncommonly good and a prime example of what can happen when the Brits take a bunch of American stuff and roll it all up into something better and spit it back out at us. This blog has a good selection of key tracks (check out their cover of Funkytown if all else fails, but the LL Cool J cover also has to be heard to be believed)

But perhaps more immediately, here is their late 80's video for Hotsy Girl on You Tube:

Let no one say I'm stingy with my music, my aim is to share not talk endlessly about music no one has heard or has a chance of hearing. I've just got some things to work out about having a blog. A lot of blogs I've seen lately that put music up, they make you use a password to play the tracks. This is incredibly annoying and I don't understand the point. It's a different password for each post, too, so it's like...man. Passwords galore.

Wow I didn't know their song "Jah Jah Call You" was actually written by reggae legend U-Roy!! Shit, wow. I had no idea that was a cover.

Here's another blog that mentions WDE and says it much better than the last one. He even takes the title of his blog from the name of a Fall song. How cool is that? Very cool, in my book.
