Fuck I just looked for it on YouTube so I could share it but it's not there. There is a video of him on the same program doing "Down In The Park" though, which is from the same album/time period:

Also no one will ever convince me Gary Numan isn't gay - he has too many lyrics that point that direction.

And this is kindof crazy because it goes right along with how I'd been on this Ultravox/Japan trip of late. Someone on the other board had mentioned how Ultravox, Japan & Gary Numan were in a class of their own back then...they were kindof similar in a way...they all borrowed from Roxy Music with their style and they used synthesizers but in the beginning they didn't use them enough to overwhelm the guitar rock in their music, they were kindof subtle about it.

Also there's this girl on the other board who I think has a crush on me. She is into Ultravox and Japan too and we have had a real good time talking about that kind of stuff. She's smart, too...I like her. But I wish she would just email me instead of embarassing me on the board! ;) One night when her and I were talking about Ultravox a lot on the board, someone came along and said "get a room, you two" hahaha.

Seriously though I NEED someone to listen to Hawkwind's "Hurry On Sundown" and tell me that isn't the precursor of Noel Gallegher from Oasis's best material. The voice is like Noel, too.

What year was Hawkwind's Hurry On Sundown released? Fucking 1970. DO YOU KNOW WHY? BECAUSE I AM A HIPPIE AND GOD HATES ME AND I'M PROUD OF IT!

I LOVE PAXACIDUS BECAUSE I LOVE TO USE CURSE WORDS IN BROAD DAYLIGHT. OR EVEN NIGHT TIME.

I am a fucking hippie.

Anyway, my Hawkwind compilation is called "Psychedelic Warlords"...

Just play their song "Silver Machine" man I mean TURN ON TUNE IN DROP OUT man. That is the shit! Rock and fucking roll. When I first visited Manchester I met a guy who had Hawkwind nights down at a small club and it was fantastic. It was Hawkwind all night and I'd never heard them before and we danced with joy in the colored lights but it's not really dance music, it's trippy, stoner rock and roll.

Did I mention Hawkwind were British? OF COURSE!!!!

God I can so see myself blowing my speakers to "Silver Machine"...

The Church actually did a cover of that song on their covers album "A Box of Birds". I should pull that out right now.
