Records to look forward to in 2007

Post by marky »

New Stooges album (yes that's right, Iggy and co. I'm not kidding, I'm really serious, it's supposedly going to happen)

New Pixies (supposedly they have finally got their shit together now after an awful lot of delays)

Life Without Buildings live album (how many bands do you know of their limited fame that release a live album 5+ years after their demise?)

Radiohead (here again, it's about time, guys! there must have been a lot of false starts...I have a live track called Arpeggio from like two years back and when that became available everyone was assuming a new album was just around the corner - who could believe how wrong that notion would turn out to be?)

New Order...I mean...eh...no there won't be any New Order in 2007, let's be real. I think they are dead and gone. That's what I think. BUT there will be the Ian Curtis "Control" film...which may or may not be worth anything. I really don't know. Hooky had said that they had conflicts with the director. God do we need any more Joy Division hyped media nostalgia? Frankly I don't think so. Just play the records and shut up and don't give your money to any more gold-digger bastards who don't care and weren't even there in the first place, that's what I say.

Led Zeppelin caused me to blow my speakers last weekend for the second time in what, two or three months? I'm not too happy right now. This time I'm gonna get a new fucking amplifier, too. All my fucking life I never once blew my speakers until these last few months. I mean what the fuck is up with that?

Heheh Tommy.

Liz Fraser, former singer of the now defunct Cocteau Twins is finally due for her first solo album this year. Hard to believe.
