I FOUND THE SIMPLY RED FIRST ALBUM "PICTURE BOOK" ON CD AT LONG LAST!!!! ONLY $9.99!!! I'm SO HAPPY I COULD DIE!!!!!!!!

AND I GOT THE LED ZEPPELIN DVD TOO! It's the one with a desert on the cover and picture of a giant rock against the sky. It was released in 2003 and I didn't even know about it until this music journalist chick told me about it. It's got pieces of gigs throughout their career!! EVERYONE SAYS IT IS THE SHIT!!!

And also I gotta tell you there is this girl at the CD store who is soooo cute!!! She has worked there since I was in community college so that must have been 2003. She is so
fucking cute. She has dark eyes and freckles (?) and black hair and black clothes she looks so goth but at the same time has this Sally Field wholesome face. Now everyone knows I'm celibate here but one day I'm thinking of saying to her "I do hope you have a good boyfriend because if you don't, there is no justice in this world". I wonder what kind of music she listens to. She's probably in her 20's. She wears a black shirt that probably had some band name on it that I couldn't see from far away. Yeah, I'd do her. If I did people, I mean.

Did I mention I finally found the goddamn SIMPLY RED album!!??? Not on vinyl like I said, but I changed my mind. Also neither Tower Records I went to had that sucker. NEITHER OF THEM. That's because someone bought it before me.

And now I have my Led Zeppelin DVD and you CANNOT FUCK WITH ME WITH MY LED ZEPPELIN DVD!!!!!!

Darling, if you've ever been or ever will be a Led Zeppelin fan, you better get your hands on this DVD.

In fact, even though to be honest a good 60% of the earliest Zeppelin rather bothers me, they actually start out with some of my favourite early songs - things from Coda. They start out with "We're Gonna Groove" and then go right into "I Can't Quit You Baby"

and honey I gotta tell you when they are playing it's as though...every other band in the world including the mighty Stooges should have hung it up in defeat.

Zeppelin are better than the Beatles and I already told you why, don't ask me again.

And you see I haven't even gotten to the second DVD (it's a double DVD did I tell you that?) which happens to have my favourite ever Zeppelin song ever "That's The Way". No, I haven't even gotten a 5th of the way through this DVD.

If you know any Led Zeppelin fans on your Christmas list, you better get to it, man. I'm serious. This is the ultimate Zeppelin thing in my book.

Make the Zeppelin fan in your life a happy camper!

I mean what I would not have done to go to one of their concerts...these people like John Peel saw them with his wife in the 70's...it's not fair.

You know I read something about them where it said the band members were kindof horrified to be assimilated into history as alongside Black Sabbath. I can't remember where I heard or read that but I thought "god that is so right". Cause for years I've thought of them alongside Black Sabbath, all the while realizing what really unfair comparison that is. Black Sabbath were about as significant in hindsight as Led Zeppelin's toenail.

So if you don't mind,

tonight I'm going to pretend it's 1969 and I'm at a rock concert with a lot of people having long hair in the audience.

Never seen Jimmy Page play his guitar with a violin bow? Well that's your problem innit?

Were they not the best band in the world, folks? Were they not? Who were better, just let me ask you that, who were actually better than Led Zeppelin? Fucking no one, that's who.
