Okay so I finished this book proper, this past week. I really enjoyed it immensely despite its rather obvious flaws.

One thing it taught me was that Jeremy Kerr, despite being the more well-known vocalist from the latter era of A Certain Ratio (ACR), was ALSO in the very first incarnation of the group!! He played BASS! This made me so happy cause all along I'd thought they just recruited this guy circa 1985 for "Force" and "Good Together" but no, this guy was really in the band since the beginning. That completely flipped me out. I love it. Also remember Martin Hannett produced them of course. Oh my god I'm playing "Winter Hill" now - oh my GOD YOU HAVE GOT TO HEAR THE VERSION OF A CERTAIN RATIO'S "WINTER HILL" THAT APPEARS ON THE LIVE CD "LIVE IN GRONINGEN (HOLLAND)" yes, you must know the joy, through LTM records, through www.darla.com look for LTM records.
