STEREOLAB

Post by marky »

Anyone here remember when "Emperor Tomato Ketchup" was the new and most recent album by Stereolab, the group with a French girl singing and a guy who used to be in an amazing old British indie band McCarthy?

Okay I'll shut up in a minute, but even though "Emperor Tomato Ketchup" is a classic album, "Dots and Loops" was really the pinnacle of Stereolab's entire career. And the other board is down so I can't talk about it to anyone right now.

So here's to Stereolab "Miss Modular", yeah if you've heard Stereolab's "Miss Modular" and have lived to tell about it without being on drugs, I'd like to hear about it.

BUT REMEMBER DOTS AND LOOPS WAS STILL THE BEST STEREOLAB ALBUM EVER AND IF YOU DON'T AGREE THEN I WILL SIC TRACK #4 ON YOU AND THEN WE WILL HAVE TO TAKE IT OUTSIDE OF THE PUB BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAID THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING STEREOLAB ALBUM EVER AND MILES DAVIS LIKELY WOULD HAVE APPROVED!!!!!

Okay I know, I don't want to sound belligerent, but I'm hearing things on this album I haven't heard in 10 years. Jesus was born when this album came out. What a fantastic piece of music - "Parsec"

Even if as Sloth rightly says, there is no God.

Okay I know what you're thinking "Marky just tell what year it came from and be done with it"

well you're right (in your wrongness),

Okay this was 1997, that Stereolab reached the pinnacle of their entire career with the album entitled "Dots and Loops".
