I picked up this comp album called Methods of Dance and has words by Paul Morely and it is all pink and has Magazine's The Great Man's Secrets that was MIXED by Martin Hannett - not hard to find but a cool include, and it also has B.E.F., Devo and the Human League Do or Die Dub! and also the first sentence Paul Morely writes is: "Note, please, that my sleves are baggy."
And even with all the Post Punk hype about at the moment I got this record for a buck! Hot fuck.
Paul Morley likes pink.

Okay well first of all I have to say I don't like Paul Morley very much.
Here's why.
I have a book about Joy Division (it is my 'bible' of Joy Division/New Order) and I don't even know if you can get it anymore but it's called An Ideal For Living and it's by Mark Johnson. If you can't find it I guess you should go to ebay and hope for the best. It really is the best book ever on JD/NO. But the problem is Paul Morley interrupts the book in several places to write a whole bunch of indulgent asswipe that is supposed to be profound but is just stupid. There is a point at which music writers go too far and he is well past that point. Even if he does feature in the Fall documentary that was on BBC television and which I have on my computer.
But if you have something by B.E.F. then you definitely get my respect. B.E.F. is cool as shit, man. Except for when
they did those covers. No, the CD to get is...wait...what is it called? "Music For Listening To" now that is some amazing stuff and I'm not really a fan of Human League that much or Heaven 17 either, but that is some amazing, progressive, futuristic electronic music there.
And you got the record for a buck because you are a hot fuck. That is right. I don't know the Human League Do Or DIe Dub but I think I might have it on a CD of mine. I don't know that Magazine song either. Must investigate. (Watergate - does anyone care about Watergate anymore? Don't you know the dems are going to kick ass in November? HUH? We're going to kick fucking Republican ARSE)

Also here is something I wanted to say on the other board but didn't...
My Magazine LP is wrapped in a sleeve that is white on one side and see through on the other side, man. And it's like Lingerie to a Vinyl afficianado. It's a sexual thing, this LP sleeve. It's white on one side and see-through on the other. Don't you see how this is a sexual thing?
