the hubby and i had our breast feeding class last night, and this is why if you're lucky, really lucky, you do call your spouse your mate.

the instructor asks us, so, are there anymore questions?

the hubby's like yep, can she have a beer?

the instructor was like sure she could have a glass of wine . .. a beer . . . a mixed drink.

the hubby's like so she could have a beer, a glass of wine, and a mixed drink and then breast feed.

i love him, really, i do, he's my mate.

That's funny. But all the same I hope you don't have any more than perhaps one drink while pregnant. I've seen firsthand more than once what happens to babies born to pregnant women who drank. These babies never get over their afflictions. Never. Even when they reach 60 years of age they won't get over it. It's in the chemistry of their bodies, it's horrible.

Never mind, I know you didn't mean that. It's great that you love hubby still. Many people might not.

I'm too drunk to remember what I originally meant to say on this website. Good night.

right, nonononono!!! to drinking while pregnant. he was asking about drinking while breastfeeding after the jack in the box has popped out, not before. (i just spelled breast"fred" that's got to be some kind of weird freudian slip)

i could not drink while preggers. that is so bad for the baby -- and smoking they say is worse than cocaine, initially, not in the long run though. although and this is the god's honest they've done studies of jamaican women who smoked the ganja; their babies were so healthy, even more developed than other babies in some ways, so . . . but i don't think i'll find an american doctor alive who will prescribe ganja instead of prenatals (maybe doctor bronner would've but he's dead and he wasn't a real doctor he made soap out of hemp that you could also clean your teeth with)

about the hubby, yep, and there are a lot of hubbies who wouldn't love their wives -- but i think that is why we are lucky, fortunate. i'm not really a fatalist, but at the same time i don't think we've worked hard /harder than people whose relationships didn't work out at keeping our relationship together-- and ours just about didn't, which is kind of humbling.

i've been nesting today. getting the little guy's stuff ready. i keep having dreams of smoking and drinking, going to the pub in my mind. . . i think it's just because we're in the last lap.

hope you slept well. :)
