Well I certainly knew we'd have to speak before the weekend was over. I probably would have called today actually but I got really distracted because the internet is not working on my usual computer so I've had to use dial up and then a few hours after that I suddenly realized shit if anyone calls I won't have heard them cause I knew another female friend of mine was going to call me today and so I had to hook up with her and then I was really drunk.
And then I went to the store and saw this really weird, surreal image of a few teenage boys trying to throw free throw basketball into this little hoop that was colored red white and blue and I suddenly entered a trance and I was no longer American. I was looking at it all from outside and I couldn't believe my eyes, this promotional basketball hoop thing in the middle of the store and all these coca cola packs of soda all around it. And these young boys throwing the little basketball. I was so fucking stoned and drunk and this was too weird.
And then the guy at the register up ahead was speaking to the girls in front of me in line and he said "have you seen 'The History of Violence'?" (whatever that is) and they said "no" and he said "it was pretty intense, it was good" and the girls were all intererested they seemed to know what he was talking about but I felt like a non-American in America in that moment. I really tripped out. I was seeing it all from outside.

I am still crazy about the Runaways. I mean insanely crazy about the Runaways, they were like a female version of the Sex Pistols with the Beatles mixed in, I am in AWE. They even do this rock opera kind of track at the end of their first album that reminds me of the Who in a good way. And the record sleeve lists all of them as being either 16 or 17, it's just insane what these teenage girls accomplished. Beats the fuck out of the Go-Go's that's for sure. I MEAN ROCK AND ROLL MOTHER FUCKERS! These girls were PUNK ROCK!
We will likely talk on the phone tomorrow Pixie. Granted it's only 9 now but I've either got to sober up or put on Style Council here in a minute and try to sober up.

Cheap beer is so much better than cheap wine, this is what I've found. If you're poor like me don't even bother with wine. I bought this Australian shit for cheap and it tasted so fucking bad, I mean Jesus. I'm going to try to return the other bottle I bought of it, cause that shit is awful. A person shouldn't have to endure that no matter how poor they are. Not that all Australian wine is bad, I'm not saying that, but I'm better off with cheap ass weak Budweiser than fucking wine. I had some Italian stuff last weekend that was pretty bad, too.
