Population explosion

Post by Tommy Martyn »

Mrs Tommy wants another baby. I just don't know. I couldn't love the ones I have more but they are hard work and

1) I'm not getting any younger

2) Ive been off work for five years. If I stay home for
another one I'll never get back and I like the extra
money.

3) The planet is not exactly running out of people.

Tommy,

The world always needs more people from good parentage, so that argument doesn't really work. The kids could be the next Einstein.

But you do have the right to a job if you want one.

And if you are the one who has to raise it then you should have equal say... or else you can just get a French au pair.

Tommy- I thought you had the snip.

Sloth- "The world always needs more people from good parentage" I always knew you wanted to rule the world like Hitler. Opps, no more Nazis, I forgot.

LONDON (AFP) - London Zoo unveiled a new exhibition -- eight humans prowling around wearing little more than fig leaves to cover their modesty.

The "Human Zoo" is intended to show the basic nature of human beings as they frolick throughout the August bank holiday weekend.

"We have set up this exhibit to highlight the spread of man as a plague species and to communicate the importance of man's place in the planet's ecosystem," London Zoo said.

, is what i say.

of course, i don't do what i say. perhaps i would though, if i had msft paying my bills. but honestly tommy, i get the impression you are doing just fine and you could handle another one. employment is overrated; what people want is money and social joys.

as bd said, you got to serve someone. better to serve your family than serve some boss.

Pixie as the au pair, I love it.

My opinion is, don't. Everyone needs a balance in their lives and it might just be time for you to swing the other way, Tommy. (yes I know someone will make a cheap sex joke out of that one but I meant it seriously)

My Tracy thinks you and your Tracy should adopt. Just get angelina Jolie's adoption agent, they get her the really cute kids. And if you did, then you'd have that connection to Angelina that you've always wanted. You could compare adoption experiences, and prove how much more nurturing you are than Brad. Hey, anything could happen.

Kim and I just had another baby boy. Zackery john. You should have another baby Tommy/Tony, then your mother-in-law come come visit and tell you that all Muslims and Hindus are cult members destined for hell.

Brett, your life is over. You are now outnumbered. Those bastards are like the Borg. You will be assimilated. Apart from that, wel done to all those involved.

On the looney in-law front, I've been working on the queen mum and her resistance to equal rights for gays. She has conceeded many points.

Gays are, in fact, contrary to pop opinion etc human.

Nearly all rapists/molesters are straight. Lots of them are christian.etc

Having two loving gay parents is better for a child than broken homes and or drunken/abusive straight parents.

If your life long lover dies, then their relatives should not be able to show up and take the house and exclude you from the funeral.

And so it goes on. Finally, we got to the nitty gritty of what it was about "these people" that needs a constitutional ammendment to restrict their rights. My mum in law does not like to see two men kissing. My first response was to ask her when was the last time she saw two blokes playing tongue tennis. She could not recall ever seeing two men kissing in the street.

So there we have the classic "folk devil and moral panic" in a fucking nutshell.

Mav, I'm willing to be adopted by Angelina in the hope that she behaves like Woody Allen.

Pixie, thanks for the offer, but I don't want kids thinking there are 27 letters in the alphabet. A...B...C...D... and E which can be good E or bad E

Staying wiht the kids for a moment. Henry had his second full day of real school earlier this week and was sent to see the head of lower school..... twice. I had a phone conference with his teacher that night. Naughty. Naughty.

About a week or so ago his school came on the phone for a fundraiser. Some of you may recall that I (old school leftwinger from the working class who married money) have a difficult time with private schools. Look at the history of England for reasons why. The school my kids are at is expensive. I told the lady that I could not give money to kids who already had more than their share, when the public school where I live has cut its art and music programmes and is short of books etc. It was not what she wanted to hear. We had a row for about five minutes during which she told me that it was a matter of choice for her to send her kids there. I pointed out that most folks didn't have that choice. It was in fact a luxury item. How can you ask me to subsidise luxuries? The one thing I wished I had said was the line that the evangelicals trot out. "What would Jesus do?"

I always try to remind folk that Tommy M and Tony B are distinct characters but it seems that on occasion they do get mixed up.
