Happiness (tonight) is-

...watching fireworks on the beach across from my apartment with my feet in the sand and wine in my belly and my ipod shuffle in my ears playing songs to lift the spirit.

I walk along the boardwalk and then down to the beach so that I can sit and stare at waters edge. Lovers and families fill the sand...there are waves crashing to my right and bright explosions dotting the sky...and I think- maybe, just maybe love is possible and life is worth living.

Course tomorrow is another day with another heartache -but for now there is only bliss.

McC is recovering and nowhere to be heard from.....but what else is new... I wonder if there will be another Bellevue visit in his future....anyway-I have not seen him in more months than I can count.

...the waves keep pushing to the shore and receeding. They keep trying to reach further...in the end they get pulled back, yet try they do. I wonder what moon affects my tide?

-Octave One 'Blackwater' (Danny Tenaglia mix)

the bellevue comment is probably out of line....we all deserve a bit of fun....and that's all I hope it is.

Good to know.

In that case-another Guiness for me...btw-the SNL skit idea was hilarious.

You and Matthew have to come to the shore soon....there are tragic Long Island bars just waiting for us to get inebriated in and people watch....

and SOME day we all must pick mushrooms along the beach and discuss the existence of God and perfect tits.

Well it was a bit rough. Those fashion people are wild dude!

"You know I have been here before and I don't like it anymore"-- Spiritualized....but I just got done with 3 hours of tough tennis and last night I went to the roof of my building and watched the fireworks explode over the East River (and Bellevue). Today I will drink green tea and eat hummus and taboli at Magador Cafe.

That is a kind of bliss as well.

weird that.

Tom here is shitty little poem I wrote about a girl I once knew. I wrote the poem while on mushrooms.

is it a matter of confidence?
you should be fine
you have perfect tits
sorry for that sick joke
just wanted you to smile
like before when you let me fondle you
and you giggled and said it was the best
the best you ever felt
so it makes me cry
that you slashed your wrists
all I wanted was a kiss
not this, not this
I'll see you in the hospital
if your mother still makes you go

all I wanted was a kiss

Okay there's a song by the Damned that goes "and I was looking for a kiss" which is it? This is really going to bother me now. Is it "Neat Neat Neat"? No, that's not it. Damnit, look what you've caused McC. Now I have to go search for the CD.

Okay I figured it out now! It's "Hit or Miss" that's the song by The Damned where he sings that. Whew. I feel much better.

Magador Cafe sounds like my kind of place to be. Especially if they have romaine lettuce.

I remember when you played the Damned at the George & Dragon. That was a great moment. I was by the pool tables.

I just remembered - it was "New Rose" wasn't it? Wow. I haven't heard that in awhile. Wonderful.

Never a better punk rock single in the history of the world. Cheers, McC.

good ears / great music

I just play the songs I like to listen to. You know great music too. When you DJ that's what you do. That's why we get along.
