HA ha ha! All RIGHT! We've got a section called PUB TALK!!! FUCK YEAH!!! :) :D

There's another comedic thing by Negativland that it reminds me of because they had a silly radio show called "Car Talk" or some such thing. I love Negativland. They're not perfect, but damn if they don't make me laugh. Anyway, a pub talk thread = this is great. We have to pretend we're in a pub the whole time!

That's why NYC Scribbles is just my shit. My shit is bad enough without other people's shit.

Couldn't be better said, my friend. Doobien represents a world of writing so far worse than your own, it's nearly unbelievably worse.

Car Talk?

Post by Tom »

Marky-

Car Talk is a great radio show on NPR. What's negativland?

And if this section is about pub talk-we're going to need a thread devoted to Cutch called

"LOOK-It's Heather Graham!"
If I'm making any sense, then I haven't made myself clear.

I haven't heard the show on NPR. Negativland are a bunch of guys from San Francisco who have done a radio show for 20 years, and have released a lot of albums/CD's along the way. They take bits of music, samples, sounds, speeches, noises, whatever they can find and mash it all up in a blender so that what comes out ends up sounding very silly, weird, subversive, politically left-field, and pokes fun at our culture. Sometimes it's just bust-a-gut hilarious. U2 once sued them because they did a funny parody of "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For". They're not homophobic by any stretch either. They're just plain WEIRD in any way shape and form they can manage to be. Here's their website if you'd like to give 'em a try: http://www.negativland.com/

Not surprisingly down here it's hard to find a good NPR station on much at all.

Yeah you can't find NPR in the South... and I have 24 hour Fox News in Sweden.

I still can't get over that shit.

They probably consider it missionary work.
