Anyone remember this lady from that old 70's show called Emergency '72 or something? All of a sudden I thought of her today for no reason. Gosh she was pretty. Died in 2000. She starred in a few films in the 50's and made a few record albums, but didn't really do a lot aside from that.

I don't believe it! You have to send it to me or take a picture - prove it!

Anyway I still think she was hottest in her 40's as a nurse on that show called Emergency. Here's some more pics I found.

It's all Julie London, folks. But I don't think I'm going to find a picture to match that one. Whew! *wipes brow*

She was born the same year as Marilyn, too. Check that out.

Does she sing good Pixie? I've already decided I'm gonna go down to the video shop tomorrow and get some of those Emergency! episodes if not one or two of her films. There's one film she did that mentions an old film actor guy called George Raft, which is weird cause there's a Kate Bush song that mentions him and I always kindof wondered about him for years simply because he was mentioned in a Kate Bush song.

I dunno ... she sings okay: but I think she was mostly hot.

I believe the popular version of the song "What'll I Do" and "Cry Me a River" are hers (I mean, she didn't write them and most artists have sang them but the versions that I think of first are hers)

Hmm...I do hear "Cry Me A River" in my mind as being sung by a female, but I can't identify exactly who that is that I associate with it. Did Billie Holliday do that song? Hmm...that's a good trivia thing to try to figure out.

Anyway, Julie London was a Libra, doncha know. :D

I never grew up watching that TV drama, so I only Knew about Julie London from her singing. I thing she was in the terrible movie "The Girl Can't Help it." It certainly had Jane Mansfield in it along with Tony whats his face from the Odd Couple.

I'm pretty sure that she did, "cry me a river." You might be more familiar with it because Alison Moyet did a cover of it in the 80's (I once saw Alison Moyet open for David Bowie alongside Terrence Trent Darby - whatever happened to him.

OMG a few weeks to a month ago I was thinking that same thing, whatever happened to Terrence Trent D'arby.

I actually don't think it's Moyet I'm thinking of, though, as I didn't get to hear that much of her despite her popularity in Britain. Aside from the Yazoo tracks, of course, which I really feel are overrated.

following that question,
the story goes he had a religious experience, changed his name to something african I believe and took to the cause of creating asexual, colorless, no barriers, intergalactic rock. a closer look at his fact sheet on his own website suggest that sony dropped him, he went to another label, they said his album was shit and wouldn't realease it, he sued and bought back the rights to his on music, started his own label, moved to europe and is chillin'
