I have seen the future of cinema... and its name is DODGEBALL.

I give this title the Film of the Year Award.

It's the only DVD I saw that I wanted to watch again and again and all the deleted scenes and all that. Stiller is amazing in this film.

And I'm not saying its a great film, one of the best of all time, its not. But I definitely liked it better than the other films I saw this year. Check it out.

I had a hard time getting excited about films in 2004. I liked American Splendor and Woody Allen's Anything Else, but both of those were made in 2003... I just got around to seeing 'em in 2004, which is about par for my timing.

Oddly enough, I liked Master and Commander because it reminded me of some of the epic adventure films of the fifties - like something Gregory Peck would've kicked ass in. I was surprised to like it because Russell Crowe usually annoys me; pretty sure I could take him in a brawl and would like to give it a try sometime.

Spiderman II was fun because Sam Raimi's direction and eye for the gothic is neato torpedo.

Bourne Supremacy was a white-knuckle flick through & through. It convinced me I made the right decision about avoiding a career with the CIA.

The worst thing about 2004: Jerry Bruckheimer didn't die.

Thanks for the Dodgeball reminder. This weekend, for sure. I could use a laugh. In the trailer, even Vince Vaughn looked funny.

In the opening scene of the movie, Vince Vaugn dreams he getting a blowjob and in actuality it is his dog.

Rent the film.
